James thanks for the boat update. In New Zealand it's popular to use a tractor usually old to bring boat in and out of water keep the the utes away from the salt water. Now I can see the 200mm 8" steel has gone up at back of the boat. Good one James 👍
Great history about your boat James, all good things come to those who wait also good friends with contacts. I look forward to following the work and progress on getting the old girl fired up and running her engines in.
I love your SeaRay Sun Dancer. I had a 32’ Dancer in 1998 and a 45’ back in 2001. I didn’t lose money on either of them when it was time to get rid of them. They were both Lake boats so no diesel. The 45’ had 2, 7.4’s Merc’s and I never put many hours on it. My ex hated being on the water so I used it mostly as a private getaway for Sunday afternoon naps at the dock unless my son was with me, he could dock it in close quarters much better than me. Haha. Most of the hours were put on by my then 18 yr old son for several years until I sold it. Enjoy it.
WOW , I watched your video last night at the usual time , and now I wake up Saturday morn to a bonus 👍🏼👍🏼 PS tell Mel that I enjoy her channel and to please keep it up 🇵🇭🇵🇭🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️😎
Hey my man I've missed a lot of your videos but I'm starting to catch back up on things and it feels like I'm back on track following your build.thank God for the storage of videos and the labeling of weeks and months .

I know you'll have all the pertinent electronics but be careful after a major storm with the logs and debris floating just under the surface. May y'all have fair skies and following seas
James you are exactly right on each statement you made. SO RIGHT! I will have some videos coming out about that. If you buzz around WOT and strike something oh man - big problem plus the fuel consumption doubles or more. The Sea Ray has thicker hull and better layup than most boats - especially compared to a Bayliner ( I wonder if they are called that because they are lining the bottom of the bays??? ) We pull huge logs in off this ocean always. I know what can be floating out there. I'd rather get on plane and then cut her back and just slow cruise. more time to react and less impact

Sea Ray’s a well made boat. I use to have a walk around cuddy when I lived in the Bay Area. The hull manufacturer was an Invader. Invaders were made In Texas. Mine had a 350 chev with a Volvo dual prop out drive . Had some good times fishing with that boat. Glad gas was only 99 cents back then cause it eat some gas when out tuna fishing. Also fished for halibut, stripper, and sturgeon. I took that boat to Tennessee and left it parked for 4 years while working in Iraq when I returned I found that the block had cracked! I ended up giving it away to a guy I met from Alabama on the condition he would take me fishing now and again. Of course it never happened but I m hoping he has enjoyed it as much as I did.
Nice boat, sounds like you have thought it all out well I just wonder how well you know the water lanes, is underwater hazards. Reefs, sand-bars, rocks, etc.

My boss has a Rupert with a 400 hp engine, also a Jaycraft we use as a tender, the main boat is a 60 feet sail boat. I am not a boat person, i recently towed the Rupert with a 10 meter trailer for 3000 KM, i can send you on email a video of the Rupert in action, full throttle, it was flying. Boats are addictive, as they say best 2 days of a boat are the day you buy and the day you sell. I was in Monaco recently, this is serious money, i personally know the owners of a 600 million dollar yacht, all in a days work.
Yep. Just wondering who owned it - Filipino or local and why it ended up there? Was it pure pleasure or tours etc. Long way to haul a boat that can handle rough seas and suitable for game fishing. 🎣

You know, there are Toyota Tundra’s for sale in the Philippines. I found some up around Manila. I have had two of them here in the United States and it is my all-time favorite truck. I see you have one at home too. ❤
Hi James, what do you think about the Toyota Hilux turbo as a vehicle for the Philippines. This is what I'm looking @ purchasing in 2025 when I go to Iloilo to retire for 6 months a year. Martin Johnson Vancouver,BC Canada
I'll recommend the Nissan Kicks E-Power specially w/ the high cost of fuel. It is powered by electric motor and complimented by a 1.2L gas engine w/c serves us generator that powers the battery when needed and when the vehicle is decelerating it charges the battery, that's when it gets more milage. It can go 900km - 1000km in 1 full tank (41L). It has a higher torque since it runs on electric motor compared to vehicles that runs on gasoline.
best of luck with the boat James. I have owned many boats over the years and most were fixer Up'ers. Everything from a 19 foot sea ray to a 37 foot silverton with twin Diesels. Converting to a little diesel is a good idea especially for the PI. Im sure you already know this but when you convert gas to diesel you need to install a fuel return line to the tank. Hopefully you have good access to the tank and it already has a fitting you can use. The boat looks great but you have alot of work ahead of course but it will be worth it. Happy Cruising ahead.🛥
um no! If your vessel is under a certain length then you as a foreigner can operate it. If your vessel is flagged ( registered) abroad it can be over that length and you can still operate it. Say like a sail boat cruising through. There no hull n liability insurance here needed.
