Guys, as a chemist, the catalyst should still be active, just the solvent has evaporated. If there is still a semblance of white powder in the bottom of the container, it should still be fine/active. You really only need microscopic amounts. I'd redissolve it in like acetone, or ethanol, or vodka, or MEK, (if you maybe remember what it smelled like you could use the same solvent, like an acetone smell for example). At worst, just ass a bit of the powder/remains to the liquid glue, and it will do its job! You can do a little test sample on a bit of cardboard just to be sure. Good luck!
Wavemaker so true! We just returned from our trip in the Phils. Growing up there there’s vulcanizing shops at least 2 on each block. Told hubby, that’s something we don’t ever see in the states. Lol.
Get some "Inflatable Boat Sealant" and your dinghy will not have any small leaks. Make sure you turn your dinghy in every direction (and let it sit upside down etc) so it gets / runs everywhere inside of it. It is Stop Leak for dinghys and it works great!

Your time in the Phillipines freaked me out until I reminded myself the 2 of you are educated and in your mid thirties and most definitely carefully researched what can happen to people who say docked in OZ versus a 3rd world country. Most of the travel shows are land based and your channel is a whole other thing! Ben continues to put a stitch in my side he has EXCELLENT comedic timing when he speaks to you Ashley! The vantage point you shared with us would of never been seen on a regular cable program! When I lived on Oahu the local hawaiian comedian's always cracked on phillipinos. It was always good natured and not mean. Look up comedian Frank Delima if you're up to a giggle. Thank you again for showing us the ingenuity of these wonderful people!

In this video they are saying "SAL A MAT" and that is incorrect. The correct way is "SA LA MAT". Plus the "A" is pronounced like the "A" in father in Tagalog.
Foreigners usually put the stress on the first syllable like sá-la-mat (just like how you say the words parent, national, possible, etc.). But the correct way of saying it is to put the stress on the second syllable like sa-lá-mat (like how you read important, official, successful, etc.)

Bislig with the Enchanted river and water falls on the east coast of Mindanao (south eastern Philippines) is also super beautiful. I moved here (Davao City) from the US two years ago and cannot wait until I can get out on the water like you guys.

You can actually buy a hose that connects your sodastream to a bigger CO2 tank. I got it for PHP 2,500 here in the Philippines. I have a 20-liter CO2 tank that can last me months of continuous daily usage.

It's called bluewater insurance and it is for offshore sailing. The cost of the insurance is completely dependant on your experience as skipper/crew as well as the regions you will be sailing in. For example, getting bluewater insurance for the Caribbean is much much less than for crossing the Indian ocean. Why? Because a lot less yachts sail across the Indian than up and down the Caribbean island chain. All that said, insurance is ultimately not required. It's a personal choice. For us the boat is everything we own so it makes sense to never lapse on our insurance coverage ! :)
