Great glitch. I used a different trainer to catch Mew when I first learned about this, but never knew the trainer in Misty's gym could work, which is way easier. Also never knew the growl to level 100 thing worked either. Good stuff. Also, I really like how brisk this video was edited. Lots of down time removed without skipping over anything crucial. The final product came off a lot more professional as a result. Good job 👏

From what I understand in terms of the level 1-100 glitch, as Pokémon aren’t meant to appear at level 1 when they do they have a negative number of experience and if the amount to reach level 2 isn’t met the game doesn’t know what to do with it and applies the biggest number it can to the experience resulting in max level. Keep it up man, some great content on here :)

True and due to access of so many trainers spawning MissingNo (via SS Anne) a player can duplicate any TM. Interesting fact: Most best common moves in Gen 1 exist as TMs. Unfortunately if a player doesn’t have a GameShark to rewrite move-sets. Their team won’t have good moves to beat the Elite four and champion.

This one is probably my all-time favourite Gen 1 glitch. It’s so damn specific I don’t know how on Earth it was discovered in the first place lol Dumb RUclips trying to keep the small creator down. I'm not sure if you have explored the ceeulean cava aka unknown dungeon but when entering it, it's best to bring abra along so that you'll not get stuck and be able to exp farm your pokemon in it (I'm using it to have all of my pokemon to evolve in there)
I tried to do this glitch, but I saved on the bridge right before Mew appears. I failed to catch mew, so I reset. Then I learned that the glitch no longer works if you do that. So now I have no way to get Mew in my game :(
not just mew... there is also the "ditto method" to manipulate its outcome and literally catch any pokemon you want. use the mew glitch and before going to the place where it appears, go into a grass area where ditto appear. let ditto transform in your pokemon and then kill it. the special stat of your pokemon will dictate the outcome. you can find a chart on gamefaqs to see the exact values in special stat needed to make the Pokemon you want spawn. if i remember right, letting ditto transform into a pokemon of yours with exactly 131 special would spawn a mewtwo

I was trying to get item underflow down but I cant quite it, I must be missing a step. You should make a vid of all the crazy stuff you can do from underflow!

You have to have fly and surf and progressed to cinebar island , then you talk to the old man in vermillion say ‘ I’m not in a rush ‘ ( watch him catch weedle) fly straight to cinebar and surf along the shore to the right of the town, eventually Youl find missingno kill him or run away with a poke doll and you should have the 6th item in your bag duped ( bare in mind this is only for red and blue) - does not work on yellow
I got a living dex doing that in the enter game... Would have been easier if the french version missingno glitch didn't crash the I'd you ended your name with a special character
I used the glitch ran out of pokeballs so i had to reset to when i last saved which was right after i fought the guy who will give you gengar and it wouldn’t work anymore
Heads up. Figured I'd pitch in since I'm using your guides. You can use this strategy to get an Omanyte by challenging the first trainer with the Hypno in Fuchsia city gym with this glitch.
the problem with mew getting to level 100 instantly is that you miss all the moves he can learn. do all encountered pokemons with this glitch also get to level 100 instantly?
@@John-jc3ty the moves it learns by leveling aren't that good, anyway. in gen 1, the missing no glitch would let you have infinite items and you could replicate tms with it so it's not such a waste. it's only a shame that flamethrower wasn't a tm back then but you could use the softboiled tm on it to have a recovery move
You need to have space in your party so it can go straight to you. Since it’s a glitched Pokémon the game crashes cause it doesn’t recognize how meW could be in your in box
To my knowledge, you can't catch Kabuto with this method. If you're interested, you can check out my other video on how you can get both of the fossils instead of just one.

Using the slowpoke trainer and the gym trainer allows for two mews

Mew can learn any TM so that ain't that bad TBH
don't use growl, it will start a lvl 7 and level up normally
since it can learn all tm and hm moves, it doesn't matter at all

Yes, pokemon yellow doesn’t have the Old Man glitch available. So you’d have to take note of what trainers spawn MissingNo throughout the game.

I learned that the Level 100 glitch unfortunately only works for Pokemon with medium slow growth rates (e.g., the starters, Nidoking, Mew)
I’m trying to catch a kabuto since I got the omanyte fossil.
To my knowledge, you can't catch Kabuto with this method. If you're interested, you can check out my other video on how you can get both of the fossils instead of just one.
