Great song with great vocal. My older sister got me into heavy metal of the 80's, all kinds of it. She still listens to it. I came here today to reminisce about the great 80's. I miss it so much. Long live the 80's.
80's music has so much more soul than today's music. I just wrote and recorded an 80's inspired rock ballad with a very personal meaning. ruclips.net/video/ZwjBSc98XjY/видео.html Tried to work all my emotions into it. If you like, check it out. It's not professionally produced but it was a lot of work cause I did everything myself. Not doing it for likes, I just wanna share my feelings and I'm always happy about a short feedback.
I can honestly say that through bands like Stryper that I have dealt with many symptoms of depression, PTSD (two time war vet), I know where the true strength lies- both in me and the help from OUR Lord- Jesus Christ!!
This is such a beautiful song by Stryper. It's a great song to listen to, especially when things aren't going well, and you need a friend. Sometimes I feel depressed and alone. I know I have wonderful friends on RUclips. So that keeps me going. And I have a wonderful wife and 5 year old grandaughter.
This song has had a very special meaning for me and my sister for 25 years. She was suffering from severe depression and had thought about taking her own life. One day, while I was at school, she put this song in the tape player. It saved her life! Now 25 years later, she is a happy, healthy Woman of Faith. Miracles do happen. We are both living proof!
from all the years of hurt and pain in my life from a loss of a brother to my parents getting divorced my life has been a total change to all the pain as i see the life in the lord by hearing the words of god that makes me feel proud of be alive to keep me going on. thank you Jesus for keeping moving on with my life.
I sang this @ our wedding in 1988 in a Lutheran church before I walked down the aisle. I don't think people had a clue that it was a Christian metal band. We loved this group!!!
Tonya Berry ,, trip out.. yes, in 1990, I was married and "Together As One" was our main wedding song played..This one works great as well, and is still on my wedding tape, which I had made the day of the wedding at a mall..
Me and my brother and sisters would ride around in my oldest sisters car in the colony (TX), I was young and thought it was the coolest thing ever. That was about 25 years ago... Song still reminds me of when we would all pile into a car just to get anything from the grocery so we could feel cool! Love it!
Listening to this, thinking of my precious mommy right now. Lost her on jan. 23rd. Crying, but I realize she's happy and out of pain now. She was only 43 :(
Sorry for your loss of your mom, nobody wants to lose their mom, it's too painful, but may God rest her soul and may God bless you and put peace in your heart.
I met my wife in 1988, we was married in July 1992 and she passed on Oct 17th 2014.. This was one of 5 songs we played at her funeral. It was one of her favorite songs..
I am so sorry about your wifes' passing, I lost my younger brother on 7-5-16 in an automobile accident after we lived in the same house for 46 yrs...now I have 8 dogs..4 adults and 4 puppies to keep my company,..:).. although, I have no one to talk to when I get off work..:(.
This song has to be in the top 5 best power ballads of the 80's era, even though it was unknown to most people!!!!! I've listening to it since it came out and I'm 39 years old and still do not get tired of how beautiful this song really is!!!!
I called out to God when I was at rock bottom and He lifted me up! All thanks, praise, and Glory unto you Almighty God, my Father, my Friend, and my savior through your Son our savior Jesus Christ! I honestly love you!! In Jesus name I pray!!
I have LOVED this sone since the 80's! I found out years and years ago that it's actually a Christian song... I just recently watched The Shack for the first time.. and listening to this song in a completely NEW mindset and I'm seriously in tears!!! I'm legit crying my eyes out!! The movie The Shack resonated with me in such a way.. I related to the father that was a lost soul. I NEEDED that movie and don't know why I waited SO long to watch it! I haven't been the same since...and this is my first time listening to this song since the movie and it's taken on a whole new meaning to me and it's just AMAZING!!!!
Honestly I am so grateful for the power of Grace to hold my Head up high and know that I am so grateful to have such amazing artist in the music to reach out to me in my darkest days and know it's going to be okay...
I am not Christian nor do i believe in GOD, I played this album over - over back in 1986 -1987. I truly loved this album through and through being a musician and the VOICE captured me every time! I carried myself for those in my life this way and was always betrayed every time. I still remain true while they pretend.
It's amazing how one can say there is no God and keep rejecting him But no matter what, God loves us and He always will .and He's always willing to forgive us in Jesus name..
we played with striper in Bakersfield California they are amazing guys God bless everyone one of them and God bless Michael's wife may she rest in peace their music is amazing and our music was always produced with the Lord in mind amen
I remember when they started out and my teenage kids were listening to them and they loved their music even tho it was christian... but who cares... they rock forever... good going guys
I went to Stryper in 1986 In Vancouver It was Amazing No Drugs or Booze It was the best Concert I've ever been to,They even threw out NIV Bibles hallway through the show
Thanks. Glad all of you made it. I am struggling because of Staten Island but they never did understand nonviolence. Love the memories though. Tired of the anger over technology.
This was my jr. prom song .. I miss those old Care free days.. I remember them as if they were yesterday.. Songs like this spark up old memories of yesterday for me.. Friends i had back then .. That i havent seen for 25 plus years now.. To what we were doing at the time of this song.. I only have one friend that i had from those days left...sad how we have familes and lose track of one another and never speak to them again.. Some are gone now as well..
Since God is love... a song about love (his true love) it beautiful...I belive there will be music and singing in heaven. I once wanted to be a rock star and I felt that God wanted to sing for him..I have given him my voice to use for his purpose and I've never been more fufilled singing. Even Paul and Silas sang to God in Acts 16:25 And David sang and played instruments praising God.
Listen to this song…sweet, beautiful and melodic. I agree. I saw Stryper at Radio City Music Hall. 10/30 my and Joe’s B-Day. Loudest concert ever. Louder than Metallica. Amazing. That place is built for annunciating to the back row. Add an arena sound system. Woot!!!
I'm an athiest, and a fucking love stryper. their music is amazing!!! I've seen them 3 times, and caught their bible that they throw out at the end of their concerts

Religion does not matter, what matters is that we serve and glorify God in Our own different ways...
Yup--these guys were one of the first to REALLY crossover, with several vids on MTV. This song STILL holds up well too!
I called out to God when I was at rock bottom and He lifted me up! All thanks, praise, and Glory unto you Almighty God, my Father, my Friend, and my savior through your Son our savior Jesus Christ! I honestly love you!! In Jesus name I pray!!
