This is why Kelly Clarkson was one of the biggest artists in 2004-2005 when this type of pop rock sound was at its peak. We know she's amazing and she can sing anything but her vocal power and emotion fits this sound so well. It hits you HARD.

Kelly is by far and away the most under appreciated vocalist of all time. It's been past time that people started seriously adding her to the "Best Vocalists of All Time" convos in the same way that they do with Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Adele etc.. Incredible. WHAT a cover!
I think she's better than half of those legends too, so it makes it more annoying that she isn't considered one of the greats.

The thing that blows my mind with Kelly is not only her incredible vocal abilities (which get better with age - how?!), but mostly her consistency. She's CONSISTENTLY great, she ALWAYS delivers. I don't know many mainstream singers, if any, that can consistently pull off these kind of vocals. Beyonce, maybe? who else?
