Corey Ian Haim (December 23, 1971 - March 10, 2010) was a Canadian actor. He starred in a number of 1980s films, such as Lucas, Silver Bullet, Murphy's Romance, License to Drive and Dream a Little Dream. His role alongside Corey Feldman in The Lost Boys made him a household name. Known as The Two Coreys, the duo became 1980s icons and appeared together in seven movies, later starring in the A&E American reality show The Two Coreys.
Corey Haim was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Judy Haim, an Israeli-born data processor, and Bernie Haim, a clothing sales representative. He has a sister, Carol, and a half-brother, Daniel. His family is Jewish. He was raised mostly in Willowdale.
Corey appeared in 26 episodes of the early 1980s Canadian series The Edison Twins (1982). He broke into the film industry in 1984, playing a young child caught up in a family war in the movie Firstborn (1984). The following year, he starred in the TV movie A Time to Live (1985), for which he received a Young Artist Award, appeared in the comedies Secret Admirer (1985) and Murphy's Romance (1985), and had the leading role, Marty Coslaw , in the Stephen King werewolf film Silver Bullet (1985). Lucas (1986), in which he starred alongside Kerri Green and Winona Ryder, showed his acting abilities, with praise coming particularly from Roger Ebert.
In 1987, he had a breakthrough when he played one of the major roles, Sam Emerson, in Joel Schumacher's The Lost Boys (1987). He later starred in the comedy films License to Drive (1988) and Dream a Little Dream (1989), the horror movie Watchers (1988), and the science fiction action drama Prayer of the Rollerboys (1990). Many of his 1990s and 2000s roles were in direct-to-video releases, and he also had a cameo in the action film Crank: High Voltage (2009). His last two films were The Hostage Game (2010) and Decisions (2011).
He died suddenly on March 10, 2010 in Burbank, California, of pneumonia.

When I was 10 years old I loved Corey Haim so much that I wrote him a letter. I was surprised when a few weeks later an autographed picture post card arrived and he had signed my name on it. RIP Corey Haim 🙏 🕊 He was so kind and made me a lifelong fan.

I think of films like Murphy's Romance, Firstborn, Silver Bullet and Lucas showed the range he had as a actor. Then he became a teen heartthrob and did mostly lightweight roles and was pigeonholed as a teen star instead of the quality actor he was. RIP Corey❤

I visited Corey's grave in 2011 or so and I left the little CH pendant that is shown on the video (though someone has put it on a chain now, I left it inside a red plastic heart box). Just wanted to say how touched I am to see it still there. I live in the UK and made a special trip to Toronto (and all the way out of town, on a day when the trains weren't working properly and got very sunburnt on the long walk) just to visit him. Worth every second.

Ive walked out of a shop before without paying for something and the store people didn't think I was stealing , just that I was daydreaming and I said oh god, I have the money here, I don't know what I was doing. People are too quick to be judgemental. Noni seems so nice and genuine

My deepest condolences to the Haim family. I grew up with Corey in my heart and 33 yrs later still feel the same. Not because he was famous but because of the incredible sweetness and genuine heart he had. I recently watched The two Corey's and struggled with what I saw. Again felt that he was being exploited for ratings and that upset me a lot. It was clear that all he wanted was a normal life, a normal girl to love him and just to be a good person, which he already was. Cari thank you for sharing your memories with us. We all miss him so much so I can only imagine the sadness your family has endured. Corey was a truly special person. His kindness and magic on screen and off has left a lasting impression on so many and I know I will never forget him ♥️ I wish I lived close enough to lay some flowers on his grave but Canada is a long way from my home in the UK. My best wishes to the Haim family 🌷🌻🌼🥀♥️ xxxx

Only problem I have with, “we know who abused him” and with such self assurance is, she said herself, she actually does not know for sure. I’m just saying, A sexual abuse victim can and often does end up with more then one abuser. Sadly abusers are adept predators. Also, Seems to me that CH was already acting out sexually before this Dominic creep came around.... and that does in fact point to earlier abuse. Also Corey may not of been willing to share this information with his family. So who knows.. I wish he was still here to tell his story, and I hope everyone would of believed him. What ever it was it definitely tormented him to an early grave pneumonia or not. Which again, fits with holding in and internalizing something dark and painful, as many sexual abuse victims do. Also just because CS was 19 at the time doesn’t make him automatically innocent, Plenty of teens commit horrifying crimes, and Charlie has shown himself to be a complete creep in many ways.

Isn’t it weird that he died of pneumonia but so did Britney (I forgot her last name) and her husband a few months later?????? All Hollywood associates idk

@@demonsandlords yes, I do think it is a weird or unusual To die from pneumonia, but it does happen. That was Brittany Murphy, and her boyfriend a year later I think. People don’t really know the signs of serious infection or when it’s time to go to the ER. Plus he had an enlarged heart. I think the earlier drug abuse was tough on his body. His mother did say he had a high fever and chest pain before he went to bed.

I totally believed Corey Feldman and now I don’t know who to believe. However, your point about Charlie Sheen is totally valid. I thought the same thing. Not that she may not be right, but I guess we cannot know unless we were there. Charlie Sheen is definitely suspect, but I would not put it past Corey Feldman to exaggerate or make something up, either. I like him, but it does seem to me that he’s a bit of a flake!

@@dawnp.6946 I believe CF, I just don’t believe he has anything to gain and everything to loose. I think his fight to get laws changed and the way he won’t let his own kids in the spotlight speaks volumes. I think he is being honorable, and sadly CH’s, mom and sister cannot go down this dark path. I feel for his family but honestly his sister was the older sister and only 15, described Lucas set as a magical summer camp like experience, think of the shame and guilt she may feel if she sits and takes this in for even one second....some people’s mind just won’t let them go there, especially if it will completely destroy some of her fondest memories. Also who knows what her relationship with Sheen was, he may of really charmed her like psychopath’s do, I just couldn’t imagine how hard that would be to accept if it was me... but I’m sorry she does exude denial. The way she keeps bringing up Lucas, I don’t think Corey Haim wanted to destroy what seems to be a very special time for her. It feels awful when she keeps bringing up Lucas and defending CS. Feels wrong. Also Denise Richards reported CS to had kiddie porn on his computer when she filed for divorce. Sheen is a dirty bastard and people should believe the kids and stop defending this creep!

Even laying in an ICU bed, i really didn't think i was "that sick". Everyone needs to listen to their bodies. I've also lost a brother but he was much older and i didn't grow up w him so my heart goes out to her and her family⚘

I would have to say Lucas is my favorite movie of his. Sending well wishes to the Haim family. Corey will never be forgotten.

Thank you for doing this interview with Cari. It was nice to hear her viewpoints on things about Corey. I'm glad everyone in the family is doing ok and that Judy beat the cancer. I went to Corey's grave in 2011. I was lucky to have found it since it was on a Sunday and there was nobody in the cemetery office to help me with where it was. I think one of the best works Corey did was Decisions. I've been a fan of both Coreys for many years, I'm in my 40's. Take care and God bless.

I have been a fan of Corey, since he did silver bullet. I travelled to Canada from the UK, just to visit his grave, I laid a black silk rose that I bought from the UK, it was way back in 2012, I also wrote him a letter, and put it on his grave. Sitting there on his bench is a feeling I will never forget.

It was so telling when you said the world lost a star but she lost her SON. WELL SAID….. as you know I too lost my son, my only child. I’m glad you made that comment. My heart and prayers go out to his mom even now. Yes its ten years later, but it NEVER goes away. Ty Scott…..

I voiced my doubts online, & you would be completely AMAZED at the vitriol posted by those that were convinced that he was the perp!!! I knew your brother before he became famous too (I attended GMPS with him), so obviously, I would have had no reason to defend some guy, were I have to believed he did anything to your brother.

The pneumonia mixed with his heart condition was probably what happened. I never cried so much over someone i had never met before. I always wanted to know him since we were kids.
Truly sorry for your loss. Your family's in my thoughts and prayers. 🙏💔💗💟
I think of him so very much. His pictures used to be on my walls growing up. I was an 80s kid too.
Crazy how you can love someone you never met... But i definitely have and always will.
I don't like how Corey Feldman treated him. I don’t think Corey would have gotten into several things he did if he would've been around other people. His friends and other actors and that life i truly think pulled him into a lot of things. No matter if he had a following of the crowd personality. I think many abused his kind and caring heart. And that's disturbing to me.
You will always be loved Corey! 222 ❤
