  • Coyote Classics is more than happy to present to you this behemoth of a Pontiac, a 1973 Pontiac Catalina to be specific! The classic land-yacht layout isn't any plainer than in this Catalina, with bench seats, power windows, air conditioning and more. The Catalina was Pontiac's entry-level full-size car, produced from 1950 to 1981. The Catalina and other 1973 full-sized Pontiacs featured full-width split grilles along with a federally mandated 5-mph front bumper. and revised taillight lenses. This Catalina is powered by a large 400 C.I. V8 paired to a 4-barrel carburetor, giving the engine plenty of breathing room. Torque from the 400 gets to the rear end through a 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts nice and smoothly. The exterior "Burma Brown" paint just gleams under the sun, reflecting a cool-looking deep brown hue. The interior continued the "wrap-around" theme on the instrument panel, but the two round gauges were housed in square pods for 1973. This Pontiac's interior is highly original, giving one the feeling of stepping back into 1973. The brown bench seats are very, very comfortable, like riding on a couch while traveling at 70mph. A bench seat like this is great for long-distance cruising! Options on this '73 Pontiac include power windows, factory air conditioning, power brakes, front disc brakes, an AM/FM pushbutton radio, a remote driver's mirror, power steering, and a dual-exhaust system. The car rides on some nice-looking Pacer chrome wheels on top of some Fuzion blackwall tires to compliment the chrome. This Catalina is sure to turn heads, and like any land-yacht, this '73 floats down the road. Right now, this '73 Catalina is looking for a new home, and it might as well be yours.

Really a fine example of a Catalina. Beautiful paint color . White walls on this would look good.

We had a 73 Catalina that I learned to drive in. Yes, the wide track Pontiacs really did hold the road, and had a strong on-center feel that's a rarity these days. Very easy car to drive well.

I had a '76 Catalina coupe in the early 90's, loved that car ! It was a cranberry color with white interior, 400 V8 ! I miss that cat !

Man I miss those ole tanks. Like floating on a cloud down the hwy. In the late 80s and early 90s the big 70s car where dirt cheap. 1000 bucks got ya a nice, clean, low mileage one. Went through several of them.

My favorite car currently on your lot. I'm a weirdo, I've always liked the big body GM cars over the Chevelles, GTO's, 442's etc. This car is in the right color too. I'm also a weirdo when it comes to color. I like earth tones over bright red or any other flashy color. That beauty would look 110% better with whitewalls. I'd also put a dual exhaust on it and swap out the steering wheel. It is a beautiful low mileage survivor. 👌🏾

My first car was '73 Catalina, bought it in the summer of 1980 for just $650! Had it for about 8 years, then my dad sold it in 1988 (if I'm not mistaken) for $300.

Nice looks as good if not better than my 1969 Hurst Olds I bought last year without inspecting it I over paid for my car $95,000 It's definitely a good rare collector car but I still have to put money into it for the price I paid but not many left! I would definitely buy this car

Nice they threw a Grand Prix motor in that one awesome 73 cat good shape.
I surprised to see the 400 in that one honestly usually they had the 350 2 barrel but that might be the four-door grocery getter.
16 Grand she's going to go quick

It is an original 400 Pontiac Catalina car. I has the badge on the front grill. I guess they don't know if the 400 under the hood is the cars original 400 though.

@@josephwatson2711 that's cool I just wondered if that was a more spec'd out one with the 400 on the Catalina cuz I know the four doors usually had the 350 2 barrel
And I remember the 73 Grand Prix also with the 400. Or the Bonneville in Granville. But that's very cool

Blender.

Wow a second gear highway drive That engine was screaming and begging for third gear count the clicks look where the shifter lands look at the indicator and except Cadillacs the shifter is perfectly horizontal in these 70s GM cars you could land in drive every time without looking if you owned one
