You noticed exactly what I noticed about the defensive plays created to stop Angel. Even the commentators said that practiced plays to double and triple team Reese! We basically defeated ourselves! We didn't have an offensive answer in the 4th quarter, and it hurt us!!! One thing about this team is that they will work hard to fix the issues... and there are a lot of issues right now!!!
Minnesota had an awful game, yet they win. No excuses! Basketball is a team sports. Angel an Kamilla are use to winning. Both coming from winning institutions. Individual basketball does not win you Championships. But you need your Best players to step up. Kamilla has no confidence in this unit. And you can see it in her game. Angel is a 'Dawg" she will fight hard for every point. Kamilla is not the same. With Kamilla its a timing thing. Chi guards will dribble with heads down, not looking for KC or AR. Then takes a lousy shot. That part is called 'INDIVIDUAL BALL'. Basketball IQ is important. You know who is adapting to a total team in order to win? CAITLIN CLARK! Her 3's are down, because she is passing the ball to her forwards, and most important, HER CENTER. SHE PREFERS TO WIN THAN INDIVIDUAL STATS. And guess what? That's the way to WIN. Chi guards needs to understand that, they are not superstars. Give the ball to your BIGS, AND NOT WAIT UNTILL THEY ARE DOUBLE TEAMED. People are saying Kamilla needs to do this and that. Basketball IQ, back door cuts, pick and roll, creative ways of getting baskets not only just set plays. Chi players are playing individual ball. Kamilla is not use to that. Her confidence is quite low right now. You need to give her a touch early in the count. If it good she will take the shot or pass it out to an open receiver, or while she is double teamed, pass it to Angel for an easier basket and vice/versa, and in the process freeing up the guards. Simple things that can make this team unstoppable, but you have to buy in the concept of less is more for the guards, except for Carter, and winning.

Caitlin Clark is TURNOVER QUEEN. We don't need more turnover QUEENS. We got 5 Turnovers from Carter. Then 4 TURNOVERS from Mabrey. ANGEL SHOULD BE THE POINT GUARD FOR THE TEAM. She is the best shooter/ scorer/ rebounding player/ defensive MONSTER/ POST DEFENDER/ ON-BALL DEFENDER/ PASSER/ STEALER/ MVP/ LEAGUE LEADING REBOUNDER/ BET AWARD WINNER/ MET GALA. Angel was the point guard in high school and won national championships. She is BETTER than all the players on the team at passing and shooting. She scores more points against double teams than anybody in WNBA history. She is the only rookie to have a game of 20 points 16 rebounds and 5 assists. If she plays a PG she can average 8 assists because they always double team her. She can be a TRIPLE DOUBLE QUEEN when she plays Point Guard. Angel is best passer in the world. She won CHAMPIONSHIP. She is who we watch for. She got 8000 kids to come watch her play.

Coach who are your go to players and does the whole team know who they are? If not, we are going to keep losing games. Angel, Chennedy and Kamilla are getting frustrated because they are playing the right way, but others are playing selfish basketball.
This was a game we should’ve won. How did we manage to only score 5 points in the fourth quarter as a collective? That right there is LITERALLY BAD FOR BUSINESS. The sky have all the tools to win, the talent is at every position but the discipline is not and that needs to change. Our rookies need a more specific training due to their positions because they gone take more contact and they have to know how to get around it or simply right through it. They need more work on fundamentals in inside scoring. They need to know the difference between a layup and a strong layup. You go up both arms,not just one. AR and KC shouldn’t be getting blocked at all In the paint because they are both over 6ft. The reason this happens is because they don’t use their rear to create space and they don’t use their off hand to protect the ball when they go up in the paint. I’m only six foot but I’d score on Aja Wilson all day in the whole because that’s where I specialize in basketball and I know how to use my body to bang for the scoring position I want and I know how to use my off hand to protect the ball while I’m going up. They need to use the backboard more but definitely from the left or right side of the basket. Angel needs to be coached on her inside follow through for sure. She brings the ball up from so low, it’s not hard to block it and I get nervous every time because of the soft touch. USE THE BACKBOARD! Kamilla needs to keep the ball high so no one can ever get to it being 6’7… wait! Doubled or not, how do you get blocked in a women’s league in the paint by shorter defenders?🧐 THAT AINT SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN which is a clear indicator that you are moving wrong out there. I really feel Angel and kamilla need professional training from professional men players. I know for a fact Aja Wilson got trained like that because she does not play like a girl nor does Caitlin or chennedy. All three of them have a certain GUSTO to their game that definitely makes them more dominant than most players they face and that’s the formula our big rookies need in order to dominate in aggressive league like the W.

Now what really pissed me off was, when Reese was being double to trippled team, not one person moved so that she could pass out of it. They stood still just watching her. Cardosa has to get tougher in the paint. She plays soft at all times. Sky needs a solid PG, one that knows how to pick and pop, shoot consistently from the arch, understand the game as a whole.

Start playing the bench players you never know what they can do. Get them a chance.
Playing the bench is why they lost the lead. Bench scored 10 points in the 2nd. Thats the issue the starters build momentum and the bench lose it
