I have the vintage Eternia and yes, facing Central tower, the front right gargoyle (gryphon?) that is now a trigger, used to be a recessed area that could hold small items. There was a sticker of a spider/cobweb, and a spider, I think. I know the web was there. I used to hide tiny marbles and rolled up papers that were scrolls/maps for adventures. The left one on the vintage just sat on a flat platform. I wish they had made the recess a bit deeper in the new one, but it is still there. Just a minor knit-pick. I'm loving your video. I like your energy. Thanks for sharing this.

Just wanted to chime in and say thank you for the review! I just put my Eternia playset together a couple of days ago. It took me nearly two hours on and off just to complete the central tower. I was really kinda annoyed with having to apply the decals. I'm very anal retentive, and with this being such a large investment, I wanted nothing less than perfect. After applying the first dozen or so, I gave up on perfect and settled for "good enough." I'm REALLY glad I followed the instructions and applied the stickers BEFORE assembling the tower, I can't imagine trying to apply them after! It was interesting to hear your thoughts/insight as well. Overall, a nice thorough review and I appreciate the quality. I was watching another review on the playset but had to turn it off because of the shaking camera and annoying music that kept repeating over and over! I hope you post more toy stuff! 😂 Take care!
Great video, the flying jet pack that flies around the monorail is a little tricky. You don’t place the figures in from the front. You slide them in from the back and the jet pack rest on their collarbones. So nothing supports their waist. It just hangs. That’s how the old one worked. If you go on the Internet, you can see pictures how to figure sit. Thanks for the video.

That’s a neat idea! Were you thinking of the new support pieces being replacements for the ones that are already there, or would they be placed elsewhere?
Not replacements, but supplemental to the existing track. Similar to the small piers they use to elevate toy trains on train sets. That way it would support the stress of the additional 3-D printed track.
Reminds me of my childhood Christmas 1986 when Mattel Inc was a few blocks from my home. My Grandmother Ruby Perry said that three Towers of Eternal was back then was $108.00. One of my favorite Christmas that I had as a child growing up. I did not like loosing the chains on Viper Tower. Your friend,Stephen Perry P.S. the comic book looks different in it's artwork and design. In my old manual it states it has something that starts with g but I agree with you about griffins in mythology. Yes there was a hidden compartment under one the griffin in the 1986 model. The main concerns about the steps were not scale to the size of the action figure due cost of the design. I wish that Grayskull tower was more circular in shape but I enjoy the trap door and additional door in the back.

@collegetoycollector There's a family business called JAZZINC Who makes 1/6 scale Batmobiles (worth $1500 +) if he is tooling the moulds for this and only makes 1500 cars , how is a making money after licencing and every thing else?
I had the original and unfortunately sold it, the moat monster was sculpted right into the base and it kinda looks like it’s the same sculpted weapons in the moat but without the moaty sculpt and there wasn’t storage but on the other side of the gargoyle there was a small area where you could put something. It didn’t have the drawbridge button. The hands do not twist on the vintage they are positioned grab. It looks nearly identical to the vintage for the exception of some interior details and the other towers are a bit different. Not sure if they are taller or not. I just hope the rails are better than the vintage rails cause you couldn’t connect them they were very brittle. There was some things omitted from the new one which I understand to keep cost down but they are actually missed. The stickers are exactly the same but your right these should have been applied already. I wish they would have included another set of stickers to keep just in case. Great video thanks for sharing.
I never thought of having an extra sheet of stickers included, that definitely should’ve been a thing considering how challenging they were to place. The two side towers are bigger than the vintage one by a good amount.
Great review I also hated the stickers as well.I wish I knew how to make the draw bridge, sit flush in the upright position. to batter down the hach'es so to speak, but the lion jaw makes an uncomfortable clanking sound, but you can push it back to secure central tower from unwelcome visitors. and you can then do the iconic trapping of a bad slash good guy. depending who's in control traped in the maw and claws of central tower.and you're right the vintage had a small storage space,just big enough to fit a tiny pistol witch was arguably pointless.
Sounds like so much fun! I love sharing my toys with kids to play with. I do not have any kids myself, but I like to invite my neighbors’ kids over to play, it’s so much more fun than hogging it to myself. Not to mention, my “young adult” friends also like to play with all of my stuff.

Wow is all I can say about Eternia and your very indepth review. This is the best review I have seen yet. Masterverse figures are a bit too big and Masterverse Beastman has outgrown Eternia, he might just need to move to Classics Snake Mountain 😂 This set was specifically designed to fit Origins figures and does a fantastic job doing so. I had the same exact trouble with the stickers. Some of them didn't match the cut outs and they were very unforgiving. I only had a couple of mishaps fortunately, but I did say "it is what it is" too much. LOL

What do you think of the idea of 3-D printing some straight or extra curved rails and support beams to extend the monorail to six feet or longer? 🤔
