  • I'm building the rocket launcher from Halo Infinite. Not only will my SPNKr look like it does in the game but it will also be fully functioning. In this video I build the launch tubes.

    Daily reminder that Chief isnt just superhumanly strong, he's also extraordinary tall, even for a Spartan. So if the launcher is scaled to him, then it makes sense that it looks huge on a regular humans shoulder.

    I know it would be amazing to get to one hand reload but if not it still super amaizng! Actually I belive it is more accurate to the game if you can’t. I say this because master cheif has his suit on when he does it which helps him in strength. So if anything it being a bit heavy makes it way more realistic. An amazing video and you are one of the most inspiring creators I watch.

    I wonder if 3d printing would be another option for the tubes, could very light and cheap to produce.

    • @arcanealchemist3190
      @arcanealchemist3190 2 года назад +1

      depending on the filament and printer, might be viable. but the better quality filament you use, the more expensive it gets. print times would be insane, and youd have to join sections, theres just no way youd get a successful print the full size even if you found a printer big enough, at least not first try.
      honestly, those cardboard tubes used for concrete molds are cheaper, faster, and wouldnt be any weaker than 3D prints. I honestly expected him to pull some of them out. Fiberglass was a great choice though. cheaper, pretty strong, and often used in hobby rockets around the same size as the tubes he needed.

    I know you're probably sick of Cyberpunk 2077 with that Mantis Blade build..but you think anyone will ever take on the Monowire? It seems like it would be the easier one to make a working (not exactly sharp of course) version of that..don't know why nobody has really taken that one on.

    • @jairusofall
      @jairusofall  2 года назад +1

      I think there is a monofilament small enough to cut but I’m not sure what it can do in the game. I’ll have to look into it!

    • @ShinKyuubi
      @ShinKyuubi 2 года назад +1

      @@jairusofall in the game it does blunt damage even though it's in universe version cuts. There's a picture of the device in the art book, and the Cyberpunk 2020/2077 wiki has a picture of that page of the book in their gallery on the monowire page. The wire glows to denote charge and I THINK (I haven't got it in the game myself..low datacap IRL means I can't update it very much) it glows a different color to denote what type of damage you do as well..but only the attacking part of the wire glows..if you have it held in hand in the neutral 'ready' stance then only the parts in your hand glows to show you where the wire is. In the game you whip it around so it has a small weight on the end I guess..according to the wiki, the ones in 2020 had a synthetic bulb on the end to hold safely..in 2077 you're using a military grade version that comes from an underarm spool.

    The LAW (Light Armor Weapon...I think, could be Light ANTI-Armor Weapon) rocket launcher rockets have spring loaded stabilizer fins (6? maybe 8, not sure) that are folded against the propellant body (just behind the part that goes *boom*). As soon as the rocket leaves the launched, the fins spring backward to a 45°-ish angle, which provides plenty of stability without interfering with the thrust. Another type of tube launched rocket with spring loaded stabilizers, have the fins inside the body of the rocket and when it is launched, the fins rotate outwards (cute little squares or triangles that are hinged at the trailing corner so after they swing out, the air resistance keeps the stabilizers pinned against the rocket). The third type are spring loaded but are curved to match the circumference of the rocket. These fins are hinged along one side so they can swing away from the rocket body. Once deployed, each stabilizer should look like this ------> ( )

      2:03 you can see the vertical ruler measures the spartan as 7', so I think that was properly taken into account. Besides, compare the spartan holding it with him holding the tube at the end- it's clearly relatively larger than ingame, due to him not being 7' tall
