    Love this one. I enjoyed the fact you stopped and read items and actually allowed us to see them. The family pictures made me want to cry.

    What a great idea! Charge people to let them explore. And it keeps the history alive. So sad to see wedding and family photos left behind.

    Regarding the hole in the floor, the first floor was heated, usually via a coal or oil stove. The heat would circulate up to the second floor via the stairwell and the hole in the floor. It didn’t work very well.

    last people moved out in 2011. i grew up here and moved out in 2010.

    The boarding house with the kids stuff in it probably started out as a boarding house when it was built. In later years it was probably turned into a regular home when there was no longer a need to have a place for single miners

    I wonder when the house at 10 minutes with the photos was last occupied, at 10:43 theres a moxie girlz styling head, those are from around 2010
