I honestly like watching your videos, they’re good quality, gives good information, and the stories at the end is what makes you different from other welding channels. keep up the good work!👍🏻
I love all the video you guys post on welding this , and that how to trick , and what to do in back spots , and etc , but I really like hearing the story about life , and history . MAN keep them coming !
Awsome video great welding and glad to see somebody ain't afraid to bring God up thanks guys that really made my day keep up all the great work see yall next time.
Just as a question, why would you prefer to freehand this root rather then walk the cup? I know that when people usually think of walking the cup they are usually thinking about big step out motions. But just a little wiggle will keep your tungsten directly into the puddle. Any reason you would rather free hand?
What kind of scotch brite do you use to clean the filler rod? Would you happen to have a link? I might be overthinking this, but thank you for your time.
If you want to learn to PIPE WELD. Go to Alabama Pipe Welders Academy. They pay you while in school you get a completion bonus. It’s 16 weeks. You get all your tools and a guaranteed job afterwards. Oh !! the kicker the employer pays your tuition. So it’s debt free. 1st Class training. They have Lowest Student teacher ratio in the country. 1:5
What if theres evil employees with a evil boss? Trying to find a diff job hope I get it soon. Do you move the tungsten the width of the filler rod for the root pass?
I have been practicing at home, trying to run root pass on pipe, but I’m struggling with my tig tig, cause it has a button instead of scratching start, and me being new to this, it makes it more difficult, I’m also struggling trying to walk the cup, on the bottom side of the pipe, any advice?
I’m from Louisiana my son gradiometers the 18th he’s trying to go to Houston to Tulsa for welding man I’m trying to get him to come there. Me being a welder I learn from y’all still I know he would be better there
Excuse my ignorance, I'm not in the trade, but why would a weldor back-feed? I imagine clearance issues with the filler wire, but is there a mechanical reason? Specs maybe?
Honestly its mostly used to prevent suck back and get enough reinforcement on the bottom. You really only backfeed the bottom as to where when you get on top it's more of a lay wire technique.

How much meat is left inside ? Do you try to aim for about .3/32" ?
I need to see how to back feed stainless schedule 10 and 40
There's no difference. Some people dip and key hole stainless when backfeeding but you can still continuous feed on stainless.
Can you guys do a video on how to do a 2 inch pipe on a 45 tig root with SS stick
Excuse my ignorance, I'm not in the trade, but why would a weldor back-feed? I imagine clearance issues with the filler wire, but is there a mechanical reason? Specs maybe?
