When I first played it Salazar’s betrayal was a total shock, but through more playthroughs you can tell there are little hints throughout the game. In the Celerium mission, he made a point to tell everyone not to understimate Menendez, but the way he said it came off almost like praising him. In the Karma mission, he refused to take out DeFalco because there were “too many hostages”, but nobody was even near him. And even in the Obama mission itself. Menendez miraculously “escaped” his handcuffs while Salazar was guarding him. Also, just before the betrayal cutscene Menendez asked a mercenary about Salazar and was told he was “in position with the Admiral.” They’re very missable, but the hints are definitely there.
As expected from a first time player of Black Ops 2. To get the best ending you should: 1. Finish all Strike Force Missions auccessfully 2. Let Woods kill Kravchenko instead of Mason (Old Wounds) 3. Mason discovers a CIA dossier (Time and Fate) 4. Save Chloe from De Falco (Karma) If not, you will unlock the Strike Force Mission "Second Chance" and still save her there. 5. Don't hit Mason in the upper part (Suffer with me) 6. You should kill Harper (Achilles' Veil) 7. Arrest Menendez (Judgment Day)
The deep lore is Menendez can hear his own theme music and that's what's been motivating him this whole time. I mean... if you could dramatically swing open doors perfectly coordinated with that ost playing - would you not be perpetually motivated??
Been waiting for days for this vid to come out! I work as a delivery driver 10+ hours a day and finding some long form RUclips content to listen to that’s entertaining and keeps the time passing by is difficult but I’m loving the series and channel!
There was a lot more to the Mason cameo at the end there, you just happened to have the bad ending, which is sad cause you almost got the best one! Hopefully you do a reaction video to the other endings so you can see how that whole thing pans out. Other than that, this has to be one of my all time favorite COD campaigns yet. If you really are interested, you should play Cold War and BO6 campaigns because they tie into the BO1-2 Mason and Woods storylines very nicely.
It also features Nova 6! Such a shame the actual campaign is insanely complicated and the real story is intentionally completely hidden from the player.
The references are super minor and leave as fast as they appear to the story. WaW has more to do with the Black Ops story than BO3. Unless Treyarch and Raven Software decided to find a way to tie that bridge in the future. Just consider BO3 story a solo story
@@LUCYJROBYN Capturing Menendez while Karma died is what ruined your nearly perfect ending. If Farid was alive, he'd take a bullet for Karma and Menendez wouldn't be able to escape prison. Also the Mason cutscene would be expanded upon.
Can I just say, your quick responses with throwing back enemy grenades is so legendary. I always panic and flee whenever I see the grenade indicator, so seeing you successfully toss them back definitely itches a tickle in my brain.

Some important tips: 1. Sniper is lethal, but it sucks on close-range combat. 2. Changing weapon is always faster then reloading. 3. Use cover when you're scanning for the enemies in the area.
Because of Menendez’s love for his sister, he wanted to feel what she felt when she burned up, he wanted to die with her and reassure her that he’s there with her through everything she went through. So he decided that he will go through everything with her even till death.

A very cool but sad detail in the first mission you did in this video. Is Menendez tells Farid that to those you serve your life means nothing. And he wasn't really wrong literally nobody mentions his name after he dies.

What a journey you went through in this game of Black Ops 2, I really congratulate you Lucy, for it being your first round of the campaign, you had the great success of the decisions to have the good ending, the only one you skipped was the decision to leave, that they should kill Farid, because, yes! Harper dies, but Farid lives and returns to Odisseus to protect Karma, and with this Karma lives, she hacked Menéndez's entire system, allowing him not to escape from prison and allowing Woods to live and introducing David, his father Mason, Even so, the ending of Raul killing Woods is also satisfactory since he was looking for revenge for what happened to his sister. A great villain, incredible how you played, congratulations!
I understand Menendez’s anger, but trying to essentially fuck over the world because his sister was accidentally killed is just petty. Not to mention that he conveniently doesn’t acknowledge that his torture of Woods and his men is what made Woods seek revenge in the first place.
The reason Alex Mason was MIA for 30 years was because he didn’t want to put David or Woods in danger. If Menendez knew he was still alive, it just would have put a bigger target on all their backs. Hence why as soon as Menendez was captured, Alex came out of hiding. P.S. - You have GOT to react to all the endings. The only you got was good, but the best ending possible literally made you shed a tear. Either way, I had a blast watching you play and react to everything for the first time, just like I did when I was a kid in 2012.
I’m playing Cold War next, not due to any hatred for BO3 but more because I really want to get to BO6. I heard the BO3 campaign is set a bit further in the future and is a bit more detached from these characters and storyline. So will come back to BO3 at a later date😊
I think its kinda reasonable. The story is way too obscure and hidden from the player to make much sense. Honestly better off watching a video explaining the plot rather than playing the BO3 campaign. Bo3 multilayer however is goated

Hate to break it down to you but you got the worst ending(beside Mason returning) XD The only missed you did was not having Karma alive and you would have gotten the best ending, woods alive, Mason alive(then scene you did not get is Mason meeting his son), Menendez not getting free and gets mad in jail for his plans failing and Lastly USA not getting destroyed. Steps to get best ending. having Karma alive, not doing deadly shot on mason, completing all four strike force missions, having Harper alive and having menendez alive. But does not matter really as the real canon ending confirmed by Treyarch is sadly the one with Mason dead and Menendez dead. Resulting in US also getting destroyed in 2025.

Yeah Black Ops 3's story has nothing to do with the World at War thru Black Ops 2 story. The Black Ops 3 story is its own thing and takes place like 60 years after BO2.
For you to save karma you gotta kill Harper n save Farid because karma is the only one who can contain the virus, you got sooo close on having the best ending n having menendez rot in prison forever😢

Fun playthrough. I was also frustrated because you were so close to getting the happiest ending possible. Closer than most other first timers I've seen. Most even give up on the strike force missions but that's not a good idea. Also, remember that scene where Salazar betrays you? That part is actually pretty significant as it's just one in about half a dozen unique scenes that can play out depending on a combination of you have Farid, DeFalco, Karma 2 or all 3 or none alive. There are multiple ending but the Canon ending is that MENEDEZ dead Mason is dead and the world is in chaos as the mourn MENEDEZ and the president is Trump not a white woman and it is Canon of Bad ending

@@francesoxberry6816 black ops 3 has very little to the story. 4 has no campaign due to blackout br mode. in terms of the timeline cold war is next then black ops 6 which is probably how she ended up playing through Waw,bo1 and 2

Fun playthrough. I was also frustrated because you were so close to getting the happiest ending possible. Closer than most other first timers I've seen. Most even give up on the strike force missions but that's not a good idea.
Also, remember that scene where Salazar betrays you? That part is actually pretty significant as it's just one in about half a dozen unique scenes that can play out depending on a combination of you have Farid, DeFalco, Karma 2 or all 3 or none alive. P.S. If you're stuck in making a decision, it's best to just pause the game. Sometimes a game will have an invisible timer activated and will force a choice on you if not fast enough :(

There are multiple ending but the Canon ending is that MENEDEZ dead Mason is dead and the world is in chaos as the mourn MENEDEZ and the president is Trump not a white woman and it is Canon of Bad ending
