    Had a good day and a lot of fun! Nice to meet you too! I've got a couple treks coming up in the next couple weeks one down south with mates over the long weekend then straight after it'll be up north to Jurien with family! Can't bloody wait!

    • @DiceyRicey
      @DiceyRicey  Год назад

      Great to see you’ve got the treks planned! I’ve got a couple on the books for October myself. Sandy Cape & the old MOA site up in the Murchison.
      Have you completed your setup ready for the trips? ⛺️

      @@DiceyRicey yeah my setup is all good to go always adding to it though. Next up will be light bar and solar panels! After that I'll be looking into maybe a lift but still not sure yet. Haven't found that I've needed that yet. I am looking at getting a caravan in the next year or 2 though!

      @@TristanMaiolo Nice! Not sure if you’re following on the Facebook Page but I stuck a hint up there, a wiring diagram for a 12pin plug.
      Thinking I might tow something back from the Perth 4WD and Adventure show. Last time was a camper trailer, who knows this time… might be joining you with a caravan. 🤷‍♂️

      It was a bit, but I was tanked on energy drink and iced coffee
      Glad we stopped and cleaned the bugs off as it went dark! And the arrow that gave us a bigger fright than the roos.
      That Strap though! You'll need to add a recovery strap to the quote I reckon!

    G'day mate,
    A question, you mentioned in a couple of vids about a squeaky flap. Wondering what the flap is that you are referring to?
    I'm hoping to pick my luxe in a week or two. Awaiting delivery.
    Also trying to find some info on where you could mount an auxiliary battery in one of these. I would prefer not to have it sitting in the rear tray.

    • @DiceyRicey
      @DiceyRicey  Год назад

      Howdy! 🤠
      Ah yes the squeaky flap. It comes from one of two things that I haven’t actually been able to nail down with certainty yet. There is a flap midway in the exhaust that I believed to be an acoustic flap, common in diesels.
      It’s also been described as part of the exhaust pressure system to keep the turbo’s in the sweet spot more often.
      I’m going to stick with acoustic mechanism for the time being but I’ll try ask another mechanic to see if I can nail down what it is 💯
      The batteries I’ve seen have mostly been mounted in the tub. There’s been a couple of slimline lithium installs behind the rear seat. And I saw someone remove the air box in the engine bay to install a 2nd battery.
      None of which I’ve done yet so I can’t speak of any personal experience. Jump onto the LDV T60 Modified FB group and check some things out there.

    what mods have you down to give them the balls to do that ?

    • @DiceyRicey
      @DiceyRicey  5 месяцев назад

      For the most part, none. Unless you’re being cheeky, in that case we swapped the running gear with GU Patrols so we could forge the sand, and mines got a Barra conversion.
      Jokes aside, most of the vehicles were near stock, some had ATs and a couple had suspension upgrades.
