Thanks for explaining it in terms of balance - now I realise I should start considering the wind direction from high to low and then adjust the rotation for the Coriolis force after! I didn't realise both were important and was trying to match the spirals by themselves and got very confused. I think this helps my intuition a bit more!
What an informative and interesting video, many thanks for posting. I've been trying to find more information on the "frontelitic" (sp?) fronts that you mention but have had no success. Is there any more on the Met Office website at all?
How do you get these data such as Atmospheric Pressure, Air Temperature, Humidity. Wind Directions etc for the Synoptic Charts? From Satellites around the orbit? Thank you.
Hi Charlie. The video is quite informative. However, I would like to know a bit more about weather forecast. What is the best way to reach you. If there is any email id, that would be great.
Don't forget about us folks down under. Wind moves in the opposite direction around highs and lows in the Southern Hemisphere. (Anticlockwise and clockwise resp.) So misleading from the expert.
I very much like your explenations. But please remind lots of none native, none fully English people are whatching your explenations. So please visualise please on your board all a hat you explain. So we can understand also the coplicated words and even wenn you speak quickly we can follow. Because sometimes I need to watch 4/5 times to, I hope, fully understand all. For the rest it is excellent.
As being a nautical student, this covers 70% of my Marine Meteorology synoptic chart syllabus.Thank you so much for the video.

Try "frontolytic" ;-)
("frontogenesis" gives an overview in wikipedia)
Thank you very much, that helped no end!
It is very accurate as forecaster Charlie describes every front in detail(he also mentions the upper fronts, warm sector and trough).
