      Hello captain excellent videos as always!
      I have a question, why planes fly 100ft above the CRZ level in China,for example 35100FT always the cruise altitude plus 100 feet?
      Thank you captain!

    Hello Captain Gabriele,
    It would be nice to make more parts about WX because it is sometimes not really easy if it comes to fuel planning.
    Also it would be interesting to know what procedures you have to follow during moderate turbulence or moderate icing conditions.
    1)
    Why do you have to enter the Tropopause into the FMGS in Airbus?
    For which flight phase you have to enter the tropopause?
    For CLB, CRZ, DES?
    And what if you fly on a route that passes different Tropopause limits?
    Do you have to enter it again on the INIT page?
    2)
    Where do you enter the Tropopause in the 737NG?
    3)
    If you cross a jetstream, will it cause also turbulences?
    Hope you can answer these questions.

      Thanks Captain for your reply.
      It would be also interesting to know what effect different Tropopause values have on icing conditions.
      Also infos about very low Tropopause in the polar regions would be nice.
      My suggestion would be to use Simbrief with this topic and an examples for short and long range flights.
      Thank you very much!

    Good Day Capt Gabriele, i have other question on this weather topic
    1. In your video 10;30 minute you mention this scalloped line as a cloud where CB may be inside. If you fly through this area do we need always to TURN ON Anti Icing?
    2. Is it possible that we may encounter some supercooled droplets in this area of cloud?
    3. Are all 3 pcs pitot tubes of Boeing 737 equipped with anti icing?
    Thanks Have a nice Day ahead

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  3 года назад +2

      Hey, yours are great questions!! So. 1. You need to turn the Anti ice on if you are inside Incying conditions, the fact that you are inside a cloud doesn't mean you need to switch them on.
      2. Yes you could, especially at very high altitudes
      3. Yes they are..
      I wish you a great day!

    Good Day Capt Gabriele, i have a question after watching this video. What it mean if we fly above or below tropopause?above tropopause mean less bad weather and below tropopause more bad weather?

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  3 года назад

      Hey, great question!!! Generally the weather is within the Troposphere. In the Tropopause the Temperature remains constant with the height, this has some implications on the aircraft performance. Also around the Tropopause limits you could find Jet streams and Turbolence associated with that. 👌

      @@PILOTCLIMB in the tropopause temp remains constant with the height, this has implication on aircraft performance. Could you please explain more details about this Capt Gabriele? Worldwide, the weather forecast is famous for being flawed. Not much, but it is, so I'd like to ask where the ATIS, the SIGWG and the aircraft weather radar itself get the precise information from. Do they get it straight from the satellites? I mean, in any other media, even online, you may have outdated reports sometimes. Do you often encounter unreported changes in weather while in flight?
