I can't for the life of me do the third exercise. I can do 8x3 chinups, ring dips, can do the basic paralette holds (6-7 seconds each) but can't seem to get into that seemingly easy looking curled ball position. My knees won't go past my chest and I have a feeling its because my arms and scapula can't support that horizontal position. I'm going to supplement the first two exercises with ring body rows and knee raises (as high as I can) and if I can't do it in a month then I will buy bands or something.

i do calistenics for like 1.5 months now,. ( when quarentine started) and I luckely have a door pull up bar. I could do 5 pull ups, 1 dip, and 50 psuh ups when I started. now I can do 17 pull ups, 26 dips and 72 push ups. I can also do 3 muscle ups. thanks austin
@@mikkirotta6620 yes, I do teakwondo, every time you did somerhing wrong, you had to do 15 push ups. so I could do a lot. but i had never done a dip in my life before, thats why .
What I love about the front lever and the back lever is that when you begin to grow the ability to hold it even for just a couple seconds, it doesn’t really feel like a workout and more like a fun thing to do when you’re bored! Keep at it and don’t give up if you’re progressing!

I know there are pike push ups and others but those are too easy. We need something in between. i can do HSPU 1-3.reps but sometimes i cant do any. Love your vids Austin! *quick question* I can do 2 (RPE 10), full range of motion weighted pull-ups with an additional 60% of bodyweight. I can hold the front leaver 7-8 sec, without a problem. However, I can do only 12-13 normal, bodyweight pull-ups. How is that possible? How can my power be advanced but my endurance so shitty? Should I allocate time to work pull-up endurance exclusively?
Skillz Set I mean you can only do 60 percent for 2 reps that’s not a lot when you get to around 8 and above you would knock out 20 no problem . At least that’s how it was for me think about it like your on a spectrum and your more on the power side instead of endurance side

Progressions are a lot better than resistance bands, because the bands can confuse your body since it makes some muscle activation easier while keeping others the same. Progressions train muscle activation slowly and safely.

I have a quick question, when doing pullups and tucked raises, I feel a tension in both my shoulders. I don't believe it's my rotator cuff because I feel the tension in the front of the shoulder muscle itself. I'm not sure what I might be doing wrong but if anyone has any ideas please lmk....

Gragboards I do inner chest workout routines, such as dip pushups. If you want to work on upper chest you can do decline diamond or normal pushups
