in 1980 I did a 10 week road trip around USA from New York to the west coast and back to New York along the south including Mexico , Badlands and Wall Drug were among the best
We did a cross country trip this summer and visited all the parks you’ve been to so far west of Sioux Falls. We had a blast, thanks for sharing, we LOVE the music and the snippets you insert into your videos. Josie and I love them! Keep them coming.
Thanks Ivan and Josie!! We love hearing you did a similar route, how amazing were these spots! Did you head to Yellowstone after Badlands?? Thanks for appreciating our song selection and goofy inserts 😂, all the best and safe travels!!
@@ONWorldTravel no we did not get to Yellowstone, we were heading East from visiting our son in WA. Once we visited Sioux Falls we headed south to see our daughter in Alabama. It was an amazing trip!
Hey Warren! So cool. Do you by chance know how many billboards there are for wall drug? Or the story behind them? Couldn’t get over how many we saw. Maybe a local knows? Lol
@@ONWorldTravel There are hundreds, maybe even thousands, worldwide! They have a display somewhere that talks about their billboards and other signs/advertising. They have had at least one sign in every country and continent, including Antarctica! A lot of the signs around the world were placed by 'fans' of the store. I do remember reading that the store has actually paid for ads in the tube lines in London years ago.
Such a beautiful place Colleen!! Custer State Park especially surprised us considering we knew so little about it going in but wow are the black hills stunning!! We’d happily go back again! 🙌🏽
Just a heads up to US Veterans - we get in Nat'l Parks for free. Just take your DD-214 or other proof you're a vet the first time and get a veteran's pass. At first they were annual, but now they are lifetime so you only have to prove your status once. Anyway, revisiting this video again as we're planning a trip there this fall. Thanks for the content. I'm surprised your channel hasn't grown more, you do a great job. Hopefully whatever switch it takes gets flipped and you skyrocket to where you ought to be on viewership.
That was a GREAT video! I believe we recognized Alan, ....seriously your sound bites and clips are really clever. Makes us wanna go back; we boondocked on the edge of the park at "Nomad's Overlook" in the Nat'l Grasslands. It was phenomenal despite the crazy winds. Can't wait to see where your next stop will be. Good Wood---always useful.🤗
Haha thanks again guys!! Yea we wish we had at least boondocked one or two nights there, it seriously looked like the perfect place for it! Although funny you mention the crazy winds because a few people at our campsite said the same thing! Yes, Alan is def a celebrity out there! 😂
We were out there in October 2021 when the freak blizzard hit overnight and dropped 28 inches of snow in some parts. We were in Badlands and the wind was gushing 50mph. Sadly we didn’t get to climb the ladder.
Back in the 60’s my family went through the Badlands my dad had to stop at every scenic overlook. 🤦🏼♂️ You will like Crazy Horse Mountain! Twice a year you can hike to the top of the arm, I did it several times in the 90’s. For a size comparison Mount Rushmore would fit inside Crazy Horse head.
Haha dang! I’m sure you guys had a full schedule that day. You really could spend hours seeing just the overlooks. Crazy horse - yes! That impressed us most I think. It’s going to be the largest mountain carving in the world when it’s completed. Incredible! Thanks for your comment Kevin 🤙🏽
I just discovered your videos within the past couple weeks and I just love you both!! You seem so genuine and sweet, and I love seeing your adventures. Thank you so much for sharing! From Indy 🙋♀️💜
We’ve always wanted to travel the USA and all your videos have helped us so much!! Coast to coast and so much in between- the golden nuggets of info and how to travel more inexpensively too! We love the Olivia & Nathan connection too! Safe travels 🤩
Thanks Jack! Yea the Notch Trail definitely had a few “sketchy” spots even for us…but what we loved most was all the pullouts and their amazing views! Such unique terrain/landscape! All the best!
You’ve got to, there’s lots to see!! And so much diversity in both landscape and people! Thanks for watching! When you make the trip, reach out to us and we’ll share our favorite spots!! Cheers!
We recently did the same, a visit to Wall Drug and Badlands. Also stopped to see the Minuteman silo and museum. Got free coffee and donuts (since we are veterans) and bought some stuff, Wall Drug was quite the experience. Did you see the giant Jackalope? Saw a herd of Bison's in Badlands, the Prairie Dog town was cool.
Nice one on the free donuts! 👍🏽 And so cool you got to see a herd of Bison!!! 🦬 we only saw a few together! We didn’t see that at Wall Drug, we’ll have to spend a bit longer there next time around. All the best Don, thanks for supporting!!
LOL that T rex in the Wall Drug, National Park Card should hire you already and that baton exhibition? LoL Man, those views are seriously awesome, Thanks for the treat you guys! 🤙
Thanks Erwin haha yea that T. rex definitely caught us off guard 😂 Olivia’s got all the moves haha gotta love the landscape, feels like a different planet!! 👽
In the beginning of the video, the background music sounded like you found the fairy fountain in The Legend of Zelda. LoL. Love the videos. Enjoying every minute of them.
South Dakooootah...lol we don't talk like that. Watching you cuz I miss the badlands and you came up on my recommended list. Flipped ya off. 😂😂 The presidential walk is pretty impressive. Downtown Rapid is pretty cool. Wall drug is great to walk around in. I can smell the tourism now. Hah
LOL 😂 you’re awesome Bev. Yeah, it’s not how you guys sound at all! Maybe closer to Minnesottaaaaa lol we’re weirdos and say so much shit off the fly. South Dakota has so much to see. We loved it there! 😃

Love watching your guys videos and how you crate your videos with so much coolness and ya speechless anyways i have a 2001 chevy Tahoe it's my first SUV and even with high mileage, it drives great, Just wondering how it would be to travel with it. Which i will be making an upload so you guys can see what to do if your floor goes out because i guess these things happen over time... Have a blessed time over there love that Place Crazy Horse canyon ug coolness .. Be safe...

Do you usually shoot in manual mode or auto mode on your camera?
Auto mode because of speed. In video, you often don't have enough time to capture a shot in "real time"
Next time - get the Buffalo Burger..
Wall drug Cafe, lots of fun but not the best food.
Kinda true haha, we only had the donut partly because we looked at the other stuff and weren’t fully sold on it 😂
I have only one question why are you always driving but now your Partner🤔 ?
