Welcome back!
Thank you, Matty!
It was nice to watch a couple go out and enjoy a track day! ❤ You two handled the range anxiety very well 😊
We try not to take anything too seriously.
@@ioriOki hope to see you at SEMA. We’ll look for you! 😉👍🏻👍🏾
@@meganswelder I love this! See you there!
Super cool
Just ran my Model 3 there all day. Had the time of my life! Even had 40Amp level two chargers to use all day. I was hanging with Tune ed Boxters all day. Charged every time I cam in to cool off. Vision Autosports as several l2 40amp chargers…. Do you research!
Enjoy the videos. U and Dj are like cucumber mint water. Very refreshing. Saw the other comment, hope all is well.
awwww, thank you. that makes my heart smile.
I really look forward to your content 😊
Thank you, I'm doing my best to get back into it.
LOL the shade being thrown lol
I mean.. it's just not good.
miss your posts. good to see you both.
Thank you. It's nice to be back.
Duuudee missed you welcome back
Thank you. I'm sorry I was gone so long.
lets go iori & dj
We are going! lol
I bought a 2008 RX-8 GT while you were asleep. It's so 😴 and doesn't turn any necks like an FD.
It does shoot flames though, right? The Genesis does not make good torque, but you can boost it.
I've never take one to the track but I rented one in Vancouver this spring and "underwhelming" is the perfect description. The acceleration is fun at first but gets boring quickly. The handling reminded me of my old bosses 1990 Lincoln Continental. Probably a great commuter car but it just isn't fun to drive.
Glad you two made it to the charger and no one had to push, they aren't light at around 3600lbs.
The acceleration was convenient, but yeah, I would not call it fun.
Lessssssssgooooo the return
I knooooow so so so sorry for the delay
@@ioriOki all good fam
@@MBC22CE Thank you! I should have more regular content coming.
@@ioriOki MAKE SURE CROCS make the cut REGARDLESS ☠️
@@MBC22CE At this point, they are part of my personality. lol
Sugoi Iori-san, Awesome video :3
arigatou Kobe-chan
We missed your videos :(
I miss making new videos
How come you only make video / content when dj is back?
Honestly because I was really down emotionally and he is more creative and willing to edit videos. lol. We actually filmed this a year ago though.
you can carry a gas generator lol
I think the regular charger way would take a really long time.
Interesting vid and perspective. Was the battery heat nerfing power pretty bad? Never heard of that before.
Well at first it felt really good, but by turn 3 you could floor it and it would accelerate steadily, but the violence was gone. I assume it was heat.
@@ioriOki probably correct. Wish it would be more like 3 laps. :/
@@smillman437 Yeah, we were hoping to get a good lap in, but it was dead before the halfway mark of the first turn. I'm wondering how the performance model does.
I would be curious to see objective information - for example, instead of how it "feels" (slow vs fast), if you let us know where it lines up lap-time-wise. And i understand that you only have the Tesla to drive that day but there are plenty of other people on the track so their time could be referenced.
That's actually a great idea. I can do that! What cars do you think are in the same class?
@@ioriOki well, that depends on the viewpoint.
Some say it's in the premim class with the Audi4s and BMW3s.
Others say (all things considered - like savings from brake maintenance, oil changes and price difference of gasoline vs home charging), it's cheaper cheaper than a Corolla (if you compare both beyond, say 60k miles of use).
Anything would be interesting since you can't control what vehicles and variety of cars is on the track that day. As long as it's stock vs stock as opposed to "souped up"
Thank you!
@@tedsimeonov9696 I can try to do it between a an entry level economy and an entry level luxury. Keep on the lookout.
The charging situation sounds miserable. I've seen Jackie Ding using the RV hookups to charge his Tesla when he took it to the track, but it's not as fast as a Tesla supercharger. I thought one of the Southern California tracks recently added a Tesla charger, was that Willow Springs or Buttonwillow?
Well I filmed this last year, but maybe button willow since Dai Yoshihara races there so often.
What company did you do the track day with?
I usually go to Touge 2 Track events. Their events are super chill and I like hanging out with them.
that's the sketchiest drive I've ever seen on a tesla. my 5speed ek hatch run out of gas multiple times and just put it on neutral and roll it my heart was pounding lol
What's worse is you can't even put the Tesla in neutral!
Why blast the ac if your running low on range ?
Why buy a new car you have to drive like a 25 year old beater with no ac.
Because I had my 13 years old puppy in the back
I mean, Willow springs IS in the desert…
Vivid tech can't work on tesla lol🎉
Heck, I can barely work on my own cars. lol
Holy shit. Tesla's are deathtraps.
Personally, I would love to drive one to and from work, but not on track.
Soulless... Its just the peak evolution of a transportation appliance.
Appliance is a really good way to describe it. I know they won't, but I wonder how it would be if OEM's offered manual transmissions.
