    I started using zip ties but found really quick that they were not practical. The velcro ties are the best for studio wiring. Nice studio Dave!

    10 million times better than it was before. That looks amazing Dave. I could never do this in my studio. Not enough room. Maybe someday I'll get a few pieces of analog gear for vocal and drum processing. We shall see how2024 goes for me financially. Got a master bathroom to remodel. Glad you finally got this done. Peace, Mike

    Enjoying watching your journey. I learned the hard way about buying cheap/budget cables and never again will I do that. It is like you said in one of your videos, go with mogami for peace of mind.

      Thanks! Yep! I learned the hard way as well. Buy the good stuff right from the start and you dont need to worry. I spent a couple of thousand on cheap cables and had to replace all of them. Lesson learned.

    Hello Dave, I really enjoyed these videos it was very interesting and captivating like watching a great classic movie or something and educational also. I think that was a class move having everything done so David can come and have fun, you’re a good friend. Thank you.

    It actually looks good, my studio is similar when you have a large of analog gear.
    It’s good to have a book to keep track of the I/O, I have 50 I/O.
    Kudos

    I have to tell you, guys...when Dave told me it was finished I was actually kind of disappointed...I was looking forward to working on this project because I enjoy the process, as insane as that might sound...
    Dave did an amazing job on this rebuild, and I'm really proud of him...the transformation in that room is stunning, and it is a much more enjoyable environment to work in...
    Dave, my brother, I love you too...

    Look for cable drop over guard. Might be the ticket.
    Also, electrical tape / gaff tape gets real sticky over time. I prefer P-Touch.
    Looks great!

    That was a nice series Dave! I really learned a lot and highly apreciate the effort you made to take us trough the whole process.
    About those cables on the left side of the console: why don't you wrap those into a piece of fabric which you can open and close using a zipper or some velcro. I think that would look more tidy as it is now. Just thinking, you know?
    Keep it up and I'll be looking forward to the studio tour video you talked about doing in the end of this video.
    Cheers from Belgium!

      That's a good idea. I need to look for that sort of fabric. Thanks for the idea.

    • @vainsacrosanct2014
      @vainsacrosanct2014 6 месяцев назад

      @MixingMusicAnalog I think you easily can make it yourself. I would get me some thin, black foam which you van roll and bend easily and have that stitched to a piece of fabric of your choosing. Velcro or a zipper is easy to get in any convenient store and can be stitched to it as well. This way you can make a sleeve that bends upward from the floor next to the console and none of those cables would be visible.

    Dave, what is that little room to the left of the mixing desk? Looks like a storage room? Do you not need access to it? You could make a ramp with a long grade to go over that cable bundle down the other side so you can get over it. You could also make a sub floor the mixing desk like other studios do but I imagine that would be a big thing to do.

    • @MixingMusicAnalog
      @MixingMusicAnalog  6 месяцев назад

    Oh I forgot to mention. I am bummed I got my Focal Solo6's and one of the speakers powers completely off on its own. Not in the sleep mode with the red light but completely off with no lights and you cannot send anything to it. I then would have to wait a long time then I can power it on again and it works only to have it power down again after an hour or so. The other speaker works great and connected to the same power conditioner. I got a replacement speaker and it is doing it on the replacement speaker. I am now going on my 3rd speaker. If it does it again I am going to take them back completely I think unless they can figure out why this is happening and no one at Sweetwater knows what is wrong. I am glad Sweetwater is treating me good over this issue. So far I do not think Focal is very reliable for what everyone says on the internet. I will give it another shot with the third speaker. I have Yamaha speakers in here since 2017 and never had one issue. Sorry to rant but I wanted to see if maybe you know what this is. I am so bummed that my experience so far with Focals is a bad one.

    • @MixingMusicAnalog
      @MixingMusicAnalog  6 месяцев назад +1

      Oh, wow! That's completely strange. I have never heard of anything like that before. lad to hear that Sweetwater is stepping up and taking care of you. Here is a thought, try plugging in that speaker into a completely different power source (you may have already done this) to be sure that the outlet on your power conditioner isn't causing an issue.
      Anyway, I have had 3 different sets of Focals over the last 12 year and never had a single issue but clearly, something is going wrong for you. I am sure between Focal and SW, they will get this resolved! Good luck and report back

    • @braxal6983
      @braxal6983 6 месяцев назад

      @@MixingMusicAnalog Yep I tried a different wall plug with the same results. I even disconnected the focus feature to see if it was that. At this time SW & I are thinking that the speaker is going into some kind of safe mode pre maturely. If I switch off the speaker and wait 30 min. or so then turn it back on it stays on for 30min-90min and shuts down completely of have to do this procedure to get it back on. It is also strange that this is the second speaker in a row doing it but ever so slightly different. The speaker I sent back turned off in 5 min of being on. So frustrating when I know everyone has given this speaker high ratings. I hope it gets solved. The other speaker on the other hand has never shown these issues.
