    That was hilarious! If I could voice act like that and change my voice different ways, I'd talk in different voices when I go out just to mess with people.

      thanks. Oh, just copy. I try to just listen and pick up on things and try to pretend. I do okay. Lots of stuff I have trouble with and of course a deep voice means most of my stuff is always in the deep end of the pool. No mickey mouse for me. hehe

    Do you by chance know of what software to use for modifying voices with? A good program, and perhaps a program that is free? Preferable though I would like to know about the program that is worth putting the money down to buy.
    Thanks for the video and any info. You have an excellent voice as always.

      I use Reaper. I paid $60 for it and really like it. It has some built in effects. Pitch shifters and delays and chorus and flange and eq and reverbs. There are plugins that do cool stuff. I had a few that I d/l once but I think they weren't free. I just d/l to try them out and I don't have them anymore. But one would take your voice and morph it into an alien sounding thing that wasn't even words anymore. hahahha was kind of cool.
      If you get Reaper, Reaper will run those VSTs and DX plugins so you can get various effects and run them inside Reaper. Record your voice, add effects that you want, etc. There are other tricks tho like doing a proper reverse reverb. You cannot (as far as I know) buy that. You have to record. Reverse your track, feed THAT into a reverb, render that, bring it into another track, reverse THAT and blend that with the orig track. yeah.
      Anyway, Reaper is good but maybe Audicity has some good built in stuff. I just don't use Audacity or any other DAW.
      I think you can d/l Reaper for 30 days and try it. Search for vocal VSTs online. thanks!!!

    Can you do Spanish, Italian, Chinese accents stuff like that I mainly hear your English speaking stuff.

    • @TruthSurge
      @TruthSurge  8 лет назад

      Yeah but I don't claim they are legit are 100% correct. I hear so many flavors of British and other ones that I don't even know what accent I might be doing at any time. Don't ask me the difference between THIS area of ENgland and THAT area. I usually do simple versions of stuff that isn't needing 100% authenticity. I don't even practice. :( I just wing it and land jobs that I land and move on.

    • @Cornwall1888
      @Cornwall1888 8 лет назад

      TruthSurge most Americans think of the typical British accent as quite posh like the queen, but the more interesting accents are up north Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester...
      Obviously you'd know Scottish and Irish.
      I'm from the Scotland I can't tell the difference between Canadians and Americans, obviously there are some really distinct accents like in the south, Boston, New York.
      Look up the Liverpool or 'scouse' accent it's really strange and high pitched at times the people of Liverpool sound like a squeaky door

    • @TruthSurge
      @TruthSurge  8 лет назад

      Yeah, I do various British ones but no idea where (if at all) they might come from or if I'm merging two into one. hehehe I think the Beatles had a Liverpool accent. Ozzy... ? not sure. Yeah... voice acting is probably 99% not needing to be 100% legit with accents. If it does, they will hire someone from that area, most likely.

    • @TruthSurge
      @TruthSurge  8 лет назад

      I don't know how to do a Canadian accent. It's like American with an OO sound for "about" "house" "out"? Where ya going, Dave? Oh, just aroond aboot the hoose!

    • @TruthSurge
      @TruthSurge  8 лет назад +1

      Better yet, Vincent Price! He did that Thriller poem in Jackson's tune. I can't quite get my voice to sound just like various people. Impressions are not easy. I can get halfway to some. I do a passable John Wayne. A fake Arnold Swartzenegger that sucks. A touch of Boris Karloff. Hint of Christopher Lee. Popeye. I can slam some Popeye. hehehehehhe I meant, UK UK UK UK UK!

    • @HerkRants
      @HerkRants 8 лет назад

      "A veritable storehouse of knowledge." "Down, down, into the depths of the earth I commit my spirit." I remember Price all too well. What a wonderful man. The Duke: "Ya . . better not go fer yer gun . . . kid, er ah'll shoot ya where ya sit." My favorites.

    • @TruthSurge
      @TruthSurge  8 лет назад +1

      I never liked westerns, really. Just never got into it. All dusty and shooting people. :( Never even watched a complete John Wayne movie. I was big into horror when I was young. Monster movies. All those 20s and 30s ones. Frankenstein, Dracula, Mummy, Wolfman. Phantom of the Opera. Hunchback of ND. Anything really that started with... "it was a dark and stormy night...." castles and coaches.... capes and creeps... hehhehe Those Hammer movies I didn't see much till later. Price was in some of those with Cushing and Lee. And that guy... short guy... dammit, what is his name? GOOGLE..... one sec... AH, didn't need google... Peter Lorre. aight.

      HUGE mailbox checks. It takes two people to carry one into my house. Okay, that's exaggeration. hehehehh I usually make $100 to $200 a job. But I prob don't do 4 or 5 jobs a week. Occasionally I do a higher paying one. If I had some golden movie trailer voice I could make more cheese. cuz.... movie.
