If you're looking for another, check out Chuck Missler. His "lear the bible in 24 hours" is one of my favorite. He and David are certainly men blessed with the Spirit

@@gjeacocke Greetings Graham. I can't read the blog but I am guessing that it's an eye opener about chuck missler. In plain speak can you tell me what you believe and or what the bottom line of your message is? God bless you and everyone. I don't listen to him because of the feeling I get in the spirit.

Jay David teaches from the NIV - New International Version 1984 edition , it was modernised to be a little more politically Correct in 2000 but David was not an advocate of being PC - he believed in preaching the truth

Can I ask - I need some counsel - I made some promises to God that I started to find really difficult to keep - I asked the Lord for forgiveness but I fear that I am "wallowing in the swamp" if I don't keep them because the Old Testament warns us against not keeping our word to God. Can I therefore rely on 1 John 1:9 to seek God's release from my promises?

You could fast and pray about it, asking the Spirit for clarity. Also seek wise counsel from christian leaders/friends that you trust, they could pray for you too. May the Lord bless you in your walk with him. This of course is just a suggestion, not an instruction.

He goes through the whole presentation arguing against a works salvation. However, at the end, he concludes with a works salvation. His argument completely refutes itself. Adultery by a believer will not cause a loss of salvation (see 30:26). We are not kept by works, but by faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice.

Marriage is sacred to God. Jesus describes the Church as the bride....Why would you think adultery is not an issue to God? Can you actually say your saved if you think this way? Jesus describes porn as adultery in the heart...
an Unrepentant adulter/sinner is lukewarm. Confess your sins to God, ask him to help you overcome your sin, this is a step towards being born again. Its the scariest thing to do, to bare your problems to God but be thankful God is merciful when you humbly ask. That's what it means to pick up your cross and deny your sinful nature. Denying your self is not works...its your fruit. Remember God doesnt ultimately judge on what you confess, but judge you by your fruits...

16:35 being circumcised is legalism if one believes that brings salvation. if it was legalism paul would not have had timothy circumcised. legalism is trusting in one's own deeds, not in jesus, to attain righteousness. obedience to god's commandments by believers is how to love god and love fellowmen as jesus pointed out. love is the foundation of the commandments.

There is a kingdom of light and a kingdom of darkness. The spirits at work in Hollywood is not the Holy Spirit, if a Christian has discernment and walk in the Spirit (Rom.8:1) he would watch very few selective films and increasingly less... walk carefully and prayerfully

2:30 jesus was friendly with those who used to be sinners and repented. he could not be friendly with those who are sinners and do not repent like the pharisees. before salvation we are all sinners. we need to turn around and live for and with god.

  • @graceyow3392

15:34 but sin is breaking of the law. if there is no law, there is no sin. if there is no sin, we do not need jesus. that is simple logic. but paul pointed out we all have sinned. meaning from the beginning, to the end all have sinned or will commit sin. the wage of sin is death. that is the law of sin and death that is the law believers who are in christ are not under.

  • @graceyow3392

6:23 the ten commandments is not the law. it is commanded. the law can be modified, changed. nowhere in all of scriptures has any of the ten commandments been modified or changed by jesus or he would have taught it.

I never get this when I hear this new wave of teaching. I'm to ignore the law and even God's 10 commandments yet Jesus says if you love me, keep my commandments. Who should I listen to. The latest false commentary regarding Paul's letters which Peter says are hard to understand and are used top twist scripture.
Paul never says the law which jesus says proves our love is not to be kept.

@ Scott Rennie. Hi i think when Jesus said keep my commandments he was meaning the ones which he gave to his disciples i.e new testament commandments and not the old. All old testament commandments are fulfilled in loving thy neighbour and so there is no need to to fear keeping the 613 laws of moses. Its the view of Mr. Pawson also so there s no contradiction.

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

The greatest commandment is love...with love; righteousness will follow and that is walking in the light.

Thank-you for approving my point guys, even if you've twisted things to fit your favourite preacher favoured opinion. The only question that matters is what does scripture say. Seriously who cares what we think in comparison to God's thoughts. Remembering he's the one who's the same today, tomorrow and forever, he never changes as he's not like us, even if we are like him. What he hates yesterday, he hates tomorrow. You've quoted the laws he gave to the disciples rightfully pointing out ALL the law AND THE PROPHETS hangs off loving God and your neighbour (which leaves out no one). I'm sure you realise that means you are keeping the other commandments by fulfilling these two. So if you love your God or neighbour you'll not steal, murder, idolise, covet they neighbours wife or property and so on (no believer would disagree) but you can't just leave one commandment out, like the 4th as then you are ignoring something God put people to death for and sent his people into exile but now he's changed his mind and is OK with it, never! . Yet I thought we agree he doesn't change. Your using the argument of what wasn't said. Did he ever tell his disciples not to have sex with animals. Its not mentioned in the new testament but its covered in the old. Does Jesus need to repeat everything from the book Paul said was good for preaching teaching and so on (he didn't have a new testament as he was living it). These are Judeans he's taking to. They have grown up knowing the law and even 10 years later Peter says he's never eaten anything unclean after getting the vision of the sheet with the animals coming down. Why is he saying that? Did he not get the memo? I thought he could eat anything. Sounds like he's keeping it. I agree the ceremonial laws as we have a new high priest yet weirdly we still keep the tithe which was to the Levitical priests. You won't find tithing in the new testament or Jesus mentioning it to his disciples but we do hear Paul taking a love offering to the poorer members of the church but that's strangely ignored. We are all over the place
