    Just finished building this about a month ago. The older 70's versions .303 looked about the scale of a 20mm in real-life. This is a much improved kit.

    When I was very young I built the Matchbox 1/72 scale Wellington. Didn't reach the level of your Wellington of course, but it was fun.

    Thanks Greg as I did a few months at Brookland as a volunteer.I think they had an Air fix Wellington in a Coastal Command version in a display case next to R Robert.

    Nice. I'm going to add this on my next model railway build with spinning props. I did the same for WWI aeroplanes.

    As everyone knows, the Wellington's engineering calling card was the lattice structure, but I didn't know this applied to the flying surfaces too. thanks!

    You must have a steady hand of serious note to paint the frames by hand!

    'R' for Robert serial number. This model is depicting 'The Loch Ness Wellington Bomber.' I've seen that plane at the Brooklands museum

      It may be covered in other builds but will bear it in mind in future videos.

    Fantastic result on an awesome model. But what did you use to wipe off the brick colour from the framework, A type of cloth or q tip, or something else.

      Just an old T-Shirt cut up.

    How did you get the fame-work to show through so perfectly, especially with the black?

    • @GregsModels
      @GregsModels  5 лет назад +2

      I paint the silver first then add a black wash which is then wiped off revealing the silver underneath. Hope this helps :-)

    La traduction française du commentaire est ridicule !
    Quant à la peinture du modèle, elle a dû être faite par un daltonien....
