During desert storm, a few of the older vets that preferred their M1 helmets to the PASGT did this exact thing. They simply stretched their 6 colour desert PASGT covers over their M1 helmets. If you google "6 colour desert M1 helmet" a picture of an African-American soldier wearing a choc chip PASGT cover over his M1 helmet comes up. Great video mate.
Oh wow, I did not know that (I joined the Army one month after Desert Storm ended in 91), very interesting! And also... I miss those old chocolate chips. I'll have to google that and check things out. Thank you for watching and commenting. Cheers!
That’s a Kevlar cover however if anyone has a Kevlar cover and a M1 helmet you can offset the Kevlar cover to where 1 line is in the middle of the front put on a helmet band and you can cover the other line with a card and a deck of cards on the other side to make it look like a M1 helmet cover

The liner in the video is not meant for the M1. It is a kevlar helmet cover. The velcro straps would wrap around the inner headband to keep it held in place.
I think this was for a pasgt helmet not a m1 check it out they look different you can get a repro vietnam m1 helmet cover on Amazon for 20 bucks if you do get please do a review on it thank you
The Rothco cover states "fits most helmets" so, we thought we would see if it fits the M1. Sure, it's not perfect, but it does the job if you want this darker color of Woodland Camo for your helmet at a great price. - We will take a peek at Amazon to see what the options are. Ya know, Tru-Spec used to make a really nice M1 Woodland Cover, it was a perfect fit. But, they have discontinued it. - Thank you again for watching and providing great feedback Vintage Vegas. Can you put the cover on a Ssh40 Soviet helmet?
Not sure on this. I've never seen a Soviet helmet.

Pro tip. For any cover really. Dip the cover in warm water and wring out then stretch it over snug. Itll form to the helmet.
