Still flaring a little high. Try to start even lower, but plan to add brakes more aggressively. Ensure you extend brakes as far as you can reach even slump your shoulders roll your wrists every fraction of an inch for maximum brake input PRIOR to touchdown. I always use the analogy of "How high would you be willing to jump off of something with your motor on your back?" A garage roof? No...A picnic table or the tailgate of a pick up truck? Maybe but not likely. How about a 5 gallon bucket? Now we're talking. Somewhere between that picnic table and that 5 gallon bucket height is about where you should be starting your flare. Sure looks like a nice spot to fly from!!!

The music is either too loud or your voice is too quiet. Super good visually and I really appreciate the support to stop my face plant landings😂

Thank you so much for the input. I totally agree. I am still pretty new to the editing and had a really hard time with the audio on this one.

@@chrisc3998 I'd agree with the above statement. The audio in the air is good but not on the ground. I don't know anything about making RUclips videos but I'm just guessing if you had a better mic on the ground all would be good. Great video tho. I don't fly yet but I'd really like to get into this sport. I have 8 solo skydiving jumps. I nailed the first landing and was stoked. I thought "man that was easy". Then my landings got worse and worse haha. Stay humble I guess

    Very nice and useful!
When landing like you do in the video, I often panic a bit, worried that I am going to overshoot the LZ. The result is a long walk to the car (landing too far away), of even an unnecessary go-around. Am I the only one and does anyone have tips? Thanks!

That is a great question. I am actually working on a video to try and help with this. I have been a bit hesitant to post it because I am still not that great at spot landing yet. The biggest thing is to dial in your glide slope for your wing and be able to judge your height. This comes with time and practice. There is a technique where you can point your toe at where you want to land and then line your toe up with where you want to land. As you descend if your toe starts to go below the spot you want to land than you are to low. If your toe is above the spot you want to land you are too high. If your toe stays on the spot you want to land then you should be able to get pretty close to where you want to land. Give that a try and see if it helps:)

How do you find the Cosmos Power 2 in flight? I just purchased the same wing and find it oscillates like crazy when i am hands off breaks in flight. I also find it very jittery in flight, not at all confidence inspiring. My Dealer is contacting Flow to see if my wing is perhaps a bad production wing? Any thoughts?

I actually love my Cosmos Power 2. For the most part it seems very stable. A few things to note. When I first got the wing I did have to shorten the breaks. The break lines were so long when I first got it that I had to put in a ton of input for very little wing response. I took it to my instructor to help me do that. I also noticed that it does seem to isolate a bit more when I have the trimmers all the way in. Setting them 25% out during flight seemed to help this a bit. Try to mess around with the trimmers to see if that helps at all. These are just a few things to test out.

Looking back at the video, I agree. I should have waited a few seconds more. Thank you so much for the input.
