EA is apparently changing formation and play names with every patch/update. One of the fun parts of this playbook was the opriginal Air Raid verbiage. I made this video prior to them removing names like "Green" and "Early". EA needs to stop taking the life out of this game.
Coach Leach famously never called a run play, outside of obvious situations. He relied on his QBs to make the decisions at the line to swap into a handoff for any time they caught 5 or less in the box. With that said, when creating a custom playbook emulating Leach's style, how would you set up the play stars and audibles?
That is correct, he gave the QBs the keys to the offense in terms of audibles and such. It's completely up to you how you want to set up audibles. If I was running this scheme, I would just make sure my favorite plays were available as audibles for each formation. In terms of stars/suggestions, I would definitely use that for your 3rd and 4th down situations. As you know, all of this can be done via custom playbooks.
I was going through the playbooks last night, specifically the "air raid playbook" and I don't have any formations called "green" or "early"? What am I missing?
Someone recently mentioned the same thing. Apparently EA has been changing names of some formations and plays with every update. I made this video prior to the change. This is goofy especially for this playbook as that was a fun part of it, to keep with the real Air Raid verbiage. I wish they'd quit taking the life out of the game.

I'm not sure. There are quite a few in this game and they all basically acocmplish the same thing albeit with different formations and personnel. Check my CFB 25 page in the links above for more info.

Such a great tribute that EA did ❤ RIP The Pirate

Have they changed the names on these formations? I'm not finding "Ace" or "Green" or any of the classic Air formation names.
@volforceone7534 that's good but they have changed some names with every update so it wouldn't surprise me.
@@PlaybookGamer When you say the "Air Raid Alternate" playbook, are you referring to the "generic" Air Raid book?
@@volforceone7534 Yes, the playbook covered in this video.
what is the point of having 11 personal if you nerver have the TE inline, why not just have 4 WR?
Depending on your roster, your #1 TE (who hopefully is a receiving type) is better than your 4th best WR.
It’s all about mismatches depends on the roster for sure. Your rb and your te is the mismatch’s I look for in each game.
