I've tried this plugin a couple of times in mixes, but I find that it makes the vocals quite harsh and hollow while transients and sibilance turn out klanky and metallic just like in this video review. I've not completely given up on it, but I put it aside for now... Thanks for the review!
CLA Vocals is nice, the only thing I wish it had was a gain reduction meter for the compressor. Its not too much of a big deal because you can use your ears, but it would be useful just to check that.
there are some really tight subs on the bass track for your opening song. can you do a video on the mix for that? or how you got those tight subs? thanks!
Dave good demo, I hope you are keeping up with A.I. progress in media creation. Imagine asking Studio One 9 to Make this song sound like it was mixed at Abbey Road Studio's by George Martin.
Cool break down…..it suffers like all channel strips for vox that yu gotta commit to reverb delay modulation on the vocal track…..equally on not having control over compression and eq….it’d be interesting to hear IK’s philosophy
@@HomeRecordingMadeEasy of course.....hey dave did you finish the breakdown of the presonus desk/midi controller series....i think i caught the first one...but haven't seen the others.....i will try this plugin but always wish they made component send effects...a little bit like NLS which has a two part system...it'd be neat if there was a channel strip plus a bus send component......i guess that's my concern.
This plugin doesn't sound nice on high quality headphones, can get better outcome (and mix options and tweaking) with other plugins. My fave IKMultimedia plugin has to be the MIX MATCH plugin though.
