The band has gone through several line up changes over the years. But your current lead singer used to be the drummer. If you dig up their older videos you will see her behind the kit with blue hair. Gacharic Spin is the core element for a side project "Doll$Boxx" with Fuki from "Unlucky Morpheous" as the lead singer. They are all high energy with an element of crazy thrown in. Great stuff.

I love Hana so much (one of the singers), you should also check out there older stuff too they're just all around amazing musicians. They also did a more metal side project called doll$boxx that was awesome as well

Putting it simply: Gacharic Spin is IRRESISTIBLE. In the top 3 bands I have to see live before dying. I know old fans may not agree, but this my favorite GS line-up (not including th eshort-lived but seminal original line-up of course - RIP Armmy) - Angie (MC) and Yuri (drums) have rejuvenated the band.

Gacharic Spin is a group that is best described as loosely contained chaos on stage and all the musicians are some of the best in Japan. Gacharic Spin is one of my favorite bands. The band was formed in 2009 by bassist F Chopper Koga after leaving her first band, Pink Panda. Koga was looking for musicians for a new band and asked her friend from high school Hana first. At this time, Hana was playing bass in another band and switched to drums (she is a multi-instrumentalist). Together they found guitarist Eita and singer Armmy. After a few concerts on their first tour, Eita left the band. Oreo's (keyboards) band Eu Phoria, in which Tomo-Zo was guitarist, had just split up so Tomo-Zo could start at Gacharic Spin. Oreo supported the band with Keyboard at concerts in 2010 and 2011. After Armmy left the band due to health issues (she later passed away), Oreo became a member.

Glad you liked Gacharic Spin they truly are unique and have their own sound that can't be duplicated The core original members are Hana lead vocals and rhythm guitar and original drummer. F Chopper Koga bass backing vocals and fearless leader. Oreo vocals all things with keys and occasionally the guitar. TOMO-ZO Lead guitar vocals and electric piano. Newest member Pink-haired girl Angela 1/3 vocals backing vocals hype man . Newest member Yuri drums backing vocals. The original four members also double as DOLL$BOXX with Fuki from unlucky morpheus on vocals

Fun fact Gacharic Spin are really good friends with the KAMI BAND and do a yearly show every December 26th to celebrate Takayoshi Ohmura's birthday so far no members of babymetal have ever participated in this event though there is video with audio only of Su-Metal performing with a band called jam metal project from 2013 you should check that out sometime it's a trip hearing her outside of babymetal and Sakura gakuin

Surprisingly, Hideki Aoyama(Drummer of Kami Band), Hana(Vocalist of Gacharic Spin) and Koga(Bassist of Gacharic Spin) were high school classmate!

Dec 26 is ohmuras’s chance for a boys night out playing with a kick bunch of female musicians. The last thing he wants to do is drag along some female vocalists that he spends all year backing. He usually brings the drummer, who...yes...went to school with Hana and koga ,which frees up Hana to get up front and sing. There is a least one bit of video floating around with this combo supergroup performing. I’ve been told that when Gs and unlucky morpheus did a two man, there was some melding of performers but I’ve yet to see any video. It would have been during the dollfesta extravaganzas...

You are about to go down a wormhole and realize that a lot of Japanese bands are friends and/or have worked with one another. Like it's crazy how much overlap there is.

    • @RetiredInThailand
      @RetiredInThailand 3 года назад

True, and then there is also a lot of them that have connections to Anime songs, and Japanese Pop Threatre as well. Japan has the best most varied music scene on the planet, while still having a lot of musicians cross over between idol, pop, rick, anime, theatre, etc.

Gacharic Spin rule! Would definitely recommend their song/video Gold Dash

Yes, Gold Dash official, with this same new lineup. Yes, redhead Angie had turned 18 since this show (and yes, she then finished high school), but still brings their patented “17yr old power”. The song actually makes me think of Rush; they squeeze in time changes & proggy bits, while still having pop accessibility. Some have called them rave/disco metal, I think really they just do whatever they want. BabyMetal’s guitarist Takayoshi Ohmura just reaffirmed that they’re one of his favorites, hence him having them cohost his birthday shows for a few years now. They take the musical talent for granted, and apply it to what they consider their entertainment career. Thanks Mark for sponsoring this reaction!

DOLL$BOXX is right up there as one of my favorite collaborations with GS and Fuki (Unlucky Morpheus). I really like "Take my chance" as a first view of D$B - - this is a parody of what it takes for a new group to make it, playing at small clubs, hoping to attraction attention - ruclips.net/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/видео.html

I have a bit of info for our goth gal with the quick eye. On their tv channel gacharic spin released a couple of days ago a video about a rescheduled performance called quick shot I believe.
A 3.20 of the vid our new tiny drummer decide to go around on the cymbals with her sticks. The regular cymbals a twang sound. The cymbal you spotted makes a twish sound. (approx)
The rest of the video is all background stuff. Hilarious if you’ve been following them for the last decade.
They do bring back their threesom idol group from ten years ago and for some reason decide to put Oreo on skates, obviously for the first time in her life.
    Enjoy...

If you want a blast you should have seen them a decade ago playing a club that holds 200 very chummy people and watch Oreo climb on a pool top and get passed around the crowd..

First, I’m in love and it’s not with the big hairy guy,
Second, good eye, I’ve watch this vid thirty times and never caught the funky cymbal.
Third, koga the bassist does the intros and shouts during the songs but she’s tone deaf so won’t be harmonizing anytime soon.
Every one else sing quite well and mz third the pink haired vocalist with the twelve inch waist can sing on Hana’s level plus raps and screams on their new vid ... gold dash...

  • @nomusician4737

I'm pretty sure the cymbal is a Zildjian spiral stacker. The sound depends a lot on what cymbal you stack it onto. This is from Zildjians RUclips:

The singer in your video is the D$B drummer - she recently moved to ryhthm guitar to make it easier for her to sing.

Damn. Took me forever to find this. I never knew the name of the song. This is Gacharic Spin's hidden track on their KAKUHEN CD. It's track 77, as track 13 thru 76 are silent tracks. You have to literally hit skip 64 times to get to the track. It's an instrumental called ニコリン星の通勤ラッシュ (Nicolin Star Commuter Rush) It's not very well known. If you like blistering guitar solos, you gotta react to this.

Bassist was doing the growls you heard in the middle of the sing. Everyone in the band can sing to some degree or another. With Koga (bass) being the weakest singer in the band.
