    In this video we present a guide to the Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ Avant combined altazimuth and equatorial telescope mounting and telescope range.
    With a strong emphasis on modern good looks, the three models in the AZ-EQ Avant telescope family offer Grab-and-Go convenience for easy visual astronomy as well as a model model that can provide high-power daytime terrestrial (land based) observations as well!

    I bought 130 mm Skywatcher last year, and it is awesome telescope for beggining. Also last year had a lot of things to see in the sky like full Moon eclipse, Mars was close to Earth. Thank you for posting such entertaining videos!

    Great video, always informative ! One tip for these tripods to improve stability - loosen the brackets that hold the tray and then slide the brackets further up the tripod tubes thus spreading out the legs. Then carefully tighten everything up again. I did this with the tripod that came with my AZ GTi and it feels much better.

    Thank you for the very nice guide. Would you by any chance know what slow motion knobs might fit the Avant? I am aware that there are two different versions of the "Skywatcher Slow Motion Cable Set" but none of them seem to be dedicated for this mount?

    Great review. I am torn between this telescope and Dorr Danubia Atlas 2000 Newton Reflector. I am taking my daughter into Astronomy and we are both keen to explore moon, planets and possibly nebulas/galaxies. Would the Sky-watcher SKYMAX-102S AZ PRONTO be suitable for that? I travel quite a lot and I am concern that Dorr is to big but seems to have better optics. Any advice welcome. Cheers and keep going with these great reviews.

    Hello !! Excellent video!! If you have noticed in some apps like stellarium when you click on a celestrial body it gives you degrees. I think it is altitude and the other I can’t remember. On this telescope does it have degrees on it so I can put it on the right degrees ?

    This is great video. Just bough the MAK102D with the AZ-EQ Avant mount and this video gives me the information i need on the mount's functionality (SkyWatcher's) manual handbook doesnt quite cover it (at least as far as my research goes!)..
    One problem I found is that, living at the equator, it is seriously difficult to adjust the Latitude to 0 degree (the mount indicates the 0 degree angle but it always stuck at the 15 degree because the wedge blocks any setting lower than 15 degree. If anyone had any suggestion on how i can solve this, your sharing is much appreciated.

    Is it worth getting a 76/700 AZ Newtonian at $70/£53 as a beginner scope?

  • @dedskin1
    @dedskin1 4 года назад

    you can mount a camera to it , but not the camera corector that comes only in 2 inch size , so if the foruser is 1,25 inch , then its the same with my scope , i cant use it , because price of focuser is higher then the scope it self .

      Sure, look for some better eye pieces like 12,5mm together with a decent barlow lens.

    Coming from a background of modified cars, cars build for looks, look good to certain petrol heads.
    Cars build for performance always look good to petrol heads.

    Only a single 1/4" screw to attach the scope to the mount? Yikes.

    Looks extremely under-mounted. Might be just about ok for observing, but you won't be taken any long exposures with that setup.
