    I have alraedy built with CLC (foam concrete). I have group of two mashines: one special concrete mixer, and a foam generator, which at the output already mixes the foam into the concrete (adjustable density). I use compressed air, and protein based foaning agent. We can use zeolite, or fly ash additive, and/or polypropylene fiber to achieve different features (compressive strength, bending strength, etc).I also used synthetic foamig agent with excellent results. I investigated the so-called dry-mix. I made inquiries to companies, which make videos, and claim products, but so far they couldn't even give me samples. The dry-mix must be tricky in making consistent quality, - temperature, humidity varies, so varies the result. Now, there are very well understood, tested foaming agents, making predictable, stable products. The equipment, and workers' care are also very important.

      Better check the news now. I guess using this stuff as a suspended surface is catastrophic, as well as load bearing. But not like the materials lab saw that one coming. Nor the investors. Or building regs...

    There must be an additive to form closed cell foam. That is probably from the
    mentioned petrochemical additive. Anyway, this looks like a very useful product.
    Thank you for the video.

      The foaming agent can be detergent based or protein based.

    • @greymase

      While one can make foamcrete as you note, the video specifically states this is a dry mixture and does NOT require a foaming agent. The bubbles are formed in a chemical reaction. I think Gabor nails it with Wooten's help above

      Aluminium powder is what is most commonly used agent for construction grade projects, like for aerated (ACC) or foam (CFC) concrete uses. Or the other long list of names it goes by...BTW a foaming agents like detergent or glycerin is great for DIY projects. But since it hard to get consistence results it rarely used for major construction project...And I not sure of any petrochemical additives?

    • @nc3826
      @nc3826 5 лет назад +1

      Generally someone in Northern Alberta will want to add additional insulation. But it does add thermal mass too. But It tends to be most popular in more moderated temp regions were no additional insulation is used.

    One of the ingredient must be aluminum (aluminium) powder of the metallic form of
    aluminum. It probably reacts with the calcium hydroxide to produce the hydrogen bubbles.
    There is probably calcium oxide in the mixture and aluminum powder. At the time of adding
    the water, the calcium oxide turns into calcium hydroxide, and the calcium hydroxide
    reacts with the aluminum powder. In dry form, the ingredients probably can be kept
    in a mixed form without the reaction.

      From what I have researched the amount of Al2 powder to 1kg of Portland Cement is 1grm. In casting sections you must not go above 3ft as the foam cannot support it's self much beyond this height. Different amounts of water affect support weight.

    • @nc3826
      @nc3826 5 лет назад

      Its incorrect to say aluminium powder "must" have been ingredient. Since there alternative methods to produce it. But aluminium powder is the most common...And saying "In casting sections you must not go above 3ft as the foam cannot support it's self much beyond this height" since density and strength of the mix can be varied. Along with adding rebar or other forms or reinforcement can be added....

    There are many reasons this is an excellent product, however, this seems to be the same thing as aircrete except for the means of aeration with aircrete is with nontoxic dish soap. This is a different product since no foam mixing is required as the foaming agent is already in the mixture. At 3:17 you say: The dry mixture is produced from sand and the waste products from the petrochemical and metallurgical industries... and later you say, "fly ash or metallurgical slag...” Maybe there's no off-gassing but I wonder about airborne particulates and as the earth shifts and aircrete . That's my amateur view.
