Please work on arresting the mother she knew/knows everything about the sex abuse, and she permitted it, I bet she was receiving benefits of the videos. I do not know what else is needed to arrest her.

They have probably made a deal, with the devil, so that she will testify against Sterns.
Sometimes the police will say they are not investigating or charging at this time as a way to put the suspect in a false sense of safety like they're getting away with it so they don't run or do anything stupid like destroy possible evidence or off themselves as they investigate quietly

As a mother, I haven’t gotten nine hours of sleep maybe in 18 years before I had kids . I don’t understand this mother needs to be investigated. I’m so disappointed in Kissimmee police for not charging her.
The fact that she admitted she could not sleep in the bed with both of them in my mind very much points to her knowing what he was doing. The fact that she removed HERSELF instead of HER CHILD from the bed even more so proves this.

@@ccoorriiee1 it seems that Madeline did not have her own room as the mother was renting out the rest of the vacant bedrooms. Too many red flags in this case. Poor Madeline, she never stood a chance.
What I’ve been wondering is…. What would keep her from getting a good nights sleep even if Madeline & Sterns slept with Jen in the same bed? Wouldn’t they all just… you know… be sleeping?? Or is there something else that would cause Jen disturbance?

Jenn said she wanted a good night’s sleep, but she was not working the next day. So, she had the entire day to sleep. That excuse is bogus like the rest of what she says. Her primary job was protecting Maddie and she certainly failed with that. Shame on her. She needs to be charged with neglect.

I am appalled that this mom has not been charged with murder. She should be charged with grooming and trafficking her daughter as well as sexual abuse leading to murder considering the pics they found on his phone. I feel the same that she trafficked her own daughter. There are more like her out there than people are aware of. She used her daughter for her own profit (whatever it may have been)and letting her be sexually abused she deserves to be held accountable. Her role in the girls miserable life contributed to her eventual murder. There is no way on this earth a mother should allow her boyfriend to sleep with her child. A mother should never allow any adult male to be sharing a bed with her children. I feel outraged by these women and a society that does not hold them accountable. There are many who give their children to these sexual predators for as many reasons. So the guy will stay with them, so the guy will contribute something to the household and on and on. They are completely lacking in maternal feelings in my opinion. As a parent your job is to nurture and protect your children, not exploit them.

Jen allowed SS to sleep in the same bed as her daughter. Whom she drugged with sleeping medications. LIKE? Come on, now. Losing a child id horrific, but Jen didn't lose Maddie. She is part of the reason Maddie is gone.

They need her testimony, and there’s no clear evidence she was involved except for her blatant stupidity. I’m sure if they find out she knew anything she’ll be brought in as an accessory. One of Maddie’s crocs were dumped by Stephan along with her backpack, but did you know the other croc was found in the mothers bedroom? Whole situation stinks, I hope they get something on her.

If the police don’t think she had anything to do with this, they are out of their minds that is so outrageous. It’s unbelievable. She couldn’t not know about this that her daughter could have thousands of images on his phone. There’s no possible way that really infuriates me on top of that just listen to the conversation of the parents of Steven, when you listen to what the dad says that Jen was telling him about getting him a lawyer etc. was completely non-phased when he drove the car with her after learning that Steven had been raping her daughter and she was like completely nonplussed by it. These detectives should come out in public and make a very public statement when the time is right to explain themselves cause not for one minute does anybody think that she was not involved?
The anesthesia he was looking up is an inhalant. Also, it was said that by JS that he gave Maddie a double dose of her medicine. So, until the toxicology report we won't know, of course. Just wanted to let you know those details as the one guest said that anesthesia was by way of IV...Also, I wonder if the parents had that drug due to their dogs needing surgery...just a thought.

She seems a little diminished (not a lot) and maybe a don't ask, don't tell, willful ignorance situation with Maddie. I feel like the mother is the reason why it happened , and they were both involved obviously. Her mother didn’t care , they should both be in prison. Poor girl , and so sad for all the children who go through similar things . I hope this gives kids the courage to speak and get help . 😢

The police said in the conference that the step-father's arrest was the only one for now. She is absolutely responsible for this precious angel's death😢😢😢

The mother regularly sends Madelline and Stephen to sleep in the guest room so she can sleep. She's in on the abuse. She's sick.
The police likely only said they were not going to press charges because they don’t want her to become a flight risk. Investigations like this take time as police want to be very thorough and build their case before they attempt to press charges (competent ones, at least). It’s only a matter of time.
