And Blundstones!!! I'm so proud that you're wearing classic 'Aussies' on your feet! LOL (Well, they are made everywhere these days but I think the headquarters are still in Tasmania.) I wore my 'Blunnies' all through my 20s. And they used to be dirt-cheap here.... I bought my first pair in 1992 for $39AUD ...And they lasted over a decade! And you would have loved where I bought them. This very old-school 'gentlemen's' store straight out of the 1930's called 'Gowings' that back then was a huge corner store bang in the middle of the city! It became very cool in the 90's as it was the only place you could get real basics like Hanes T-shirts, basic Levis items and of course, those Blunnies! (And the barber upstairs still did $10 haircuts!) Unfortunately, that store is long gone now.... it's a Mecca or something crappy like that.
that definitely sounded like my kind of store.
Ahhhh I had a few pairs of 531s too back in the day!!! And a whole wardrobe of white T-shirts I would layer under shirts, too! (And some black T-shirts, a black turtleneck sweater and a stripey sailor top... and a leather biker jacket or one of my vintage tweedy blazers from a big collection I had, thrifted from numerous thrift stores and flea markets to wear over it all!) But the best item was this very Prada-ish looking black wool chesterfield coat from 1962 that I pilfered from my Dad's closet around 1985 that I STILL wear occasionally to this day! The fabric has this REALLY subtle silver check to it that just shines in certain light, just like a silvery cobweb! Really unique and cool! ... And BTW- I think the way your brain works is very interesting! (And very entertaining!!)
you were obviously far more stylish than i ever was growing up in my little fishing community.
Black is my happy color, you need to buy a lot more of black clothes
but everything i have is black now... and i still have too much!
I think you should wear what you like. & not worry about whether people agree or not.If you lived here in San Antonio, TX & you saw the clothes people wear you would be shocked. I like the white t-shirts you wear.Just be you & don't apologize for being yourself. Enjoyed
i'm not really concerned with anyone else: i'm just saying my thoughts out loud in case it is relatable for someone.
@@jasonchipmanhowlettOh. That does make sense. Your brain is fascinating. You are never boring.
real men just grab a shirt and shorts and go they dont say is this in or will people like this on me or will it match my backpack.
lol exactly. now that can be me :)
@@jasonchipmanhowlett ok whatever you say😜the blues and pinks have to stay cause you look very handsome in those colors for the summer.
Real men? What exactly do you think that even means, Jason? Do you as a grown man who has been mocked for an obsession with children's toys really want to go there? Some would probably even claim that a "real" man has a good career, a good relationship and possibly a family, own a home, etc. This just seems like you're casting the same stones that others have thrown at you questioning your masculinity.
oh, so you totally understood the tongue in cheek of my title... is this not all obvious to everyone???
Nope. That might have been your intention, but that's not how it reads.
