I can so relate to that o do it for me most of all above all I can’t film though I’m going to snorkel on my cruise so that could happen and I did try to film a swim I did at friends and there were so many meanies not a lot of mermaids saw that I did cate about so

I am glad to see your spirit rising out of your grief.

Absolutely agree, it's been a wild couple months for us all. I've been pressured to move out of state, important doctor appointments being canceled, and deadlines edge closer with a looming sense of doom...

I have to say the sense of entitlement in the mermaid community really is something. I support you in doing what you need to do for yourself to make your work work for you. It's hard enough to create without having to hear the squawking of assholes. Your work is beautiful and you deserve to get paid and peace of mind! Also you don't need to explain yourself when it comes to your process and what you do with the excess.

Totally understand the shift in selling towards your clientele base. I wrestle with a similar problem trying to get a living wage but fighting against those that extreme undersell the same product just to get commissions.
It never fails as soon as the recording button hits: ambulance sirens, helicopters, leaf blowers, dog barking, phone ringing 😬

2023 has really been off to a poop start for me too. I hope you and everyone having a rough years starts having better times. Maybe it will play out like March's old proverb: In like a Lion out like a Lamb. In like a Lamb out like a Lion. Definitely rooting for that cute lamb; the grumpy lion is still on my doorstep, lol.

It is a shame that it has to come to this, but you need to do what is best for you, for your well being. That is the most important thing. There is too much entitlement in the world today, and unfortunately not just in the mermaid community. We are all here with you. Keep smashing it!

Now I feel even more grateful that I was able to get a tail from you when I did 🙌🏽💕. But at least this new way will eliminate all the bullshark that was happening

I totally feel you about customers not quite understanding the process or that there is just one person running the shop. I get a fair amount of people bringing me pictures of other makers' work and asking me to directly copy. I don't mind if someone wants to show me other people's work for inspiration but I will not copy! I assume most people are just ignorant and mean no harm so I make sure to be kind. However it can be disheartening when it happens too often :(

You should make yourself a mechanical keyboard... constant stimming during work hours (when WfH ofc).
Art theft has been a real problem lately. It's gross how many people think they're entitled to people's work without any consideration to the artist and the work that goes into it. I think AI "art" and fast fashion have really added to it as well. My own mental health has been a bit of a mess lately but I'm really trying to figure it out and get my life back on track as best I can and do more creative stuff I want to do but haven't had the energy or focus. By the way I think your hair looks good and your dog is very cute.
Question do you shave your head because you like the look or because you swim a lot and when you brushed your hair half of it would fall out/ also can I steal your dogo /s he is so cute 😊😅

She had a bit of a tough mental health moment and having long hair affected both that and her autism so short hair is more comfortable for her
