Nowadays, the Feurichs are designed in Vienna, manufactured in China by Hailun and are finished in Germany. Hailun Pianos are designed in Vienna and are manufactured from start to finish in China. Both brands use German parts: Roslau strings, Abel hammers and European spruce.

Never heard of a Feurich made by Schimmel before. They were made in the Euterpe factory in Langlau Germany after the second world war until the early '90s when Bechstein bought out Euterpe. They started on their own again at some point later in the '90s so perhaps the Schimmel Feurichs came inbetween. Would be interesting to know if you find out any more about the piano.

Thank you Hoffmann it is interesting information I appreciate your sharing. I have seen the new ones from china I do believe they aren’t making them currently in Germany? This is a unique piano for me being Schimmel with the feurich name an interesting collaboration

Schimmel is one of the rare company to uses its own action. That's why you don't have a name of another manufacturer.

Do the longer key levers have any downside, like a heavier touch...? thx

I’m not sure of this question I believe that it won’t if the touch is weighted at the factory if anything it would improve the touch leverage and control
