Thanks for replying to my ? . I once lived in God's country, Wyoming. Lol. I worked on a cow/calf operations for Dave Serve on the slash Z slash located in Van Tassel, Wy.. This was back in the 70's . I am back in my home state of Ga. now. Enjoyed the video.
1960's they had a series of "films" on agriculture and forestry, that's what you video's remind me of, same voice, same timing, kind of a flashback combined with a history moment, good job.
nice video, thanks, and BWWHAHAHAHAHAHA you got a text from a cows "tail". that just cracks me up and makes me make the noise Lurch used to make in the Addams family.........guess if it works
Thank you very much! Hey if you haven't went and checked out larsonvalleyfarm yet I urge you to do so. He puts out great videos on alot of the stuff I dont, or cant do, alot of farming stuff too. Subscribe and check it out! -Mike
We actually just reseeded a bunch 2 years ago, since then we have had drought so hopefully if we get some good rain it will come up completely. Thanks Kris and thanks for watching - Mike
I’m not sure if you’ve already covered this in any of your videos, (still getting caught up) , but do you over seed any part of your grazing pastures or just go au-natural? - also I’m sure you are aware but some of your chicken breeds look as though they have shoes on and this is very pleasing hahaha
A couple videos have mentioned letting the chickens, ducks, and geese out each morning, but I haven't seen you put them back in. How do you get them to back inside each night?
Chickens naturally go inside when it gets dark out. They want to be inside and in their roosts. The ducks and geese we actually train when they are very young. When they first go out to the chicken house we keep them in an outdoor enclosed area so they can have fresh air and roam but not free range until they are big enough. When it's almost dark we would go out to the chicken house and would tell them to go to bed until they learned to go inside at night. My oldest geese are 8 years old and if we yell at them to go to bed they go inside! -Erin
We have a farmers market truck that has multiple freezers in it, all the meat is separated out. Because all of our meat is USDA inspected we can sell it by the cut. It is all vacuum packed and ready to go straight to customers. We have a couple of videos from last years farmers market if you can look them up. - Mike
We have red and black angus. Our bulls are all registered angus, we do have a few cows that have some hereford in them as well. Thanks for watching - Mike
Our Wyoming Life Glad someone asked this question! I thought it was super catchy...love the way it sounds and the way you edited the intro vid to match it...I was thinking, is that a sample from a song I'd hadn't heard before. It's a great jingle, I'd say perfect for your channel. They did a great job.
A couple of ways, you can do it on amazon. www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=our+wyoming+life You can also get them on our website at teespring.com/stores/our-wyoming-life Thank you very much - Mike
Luckily we haven't had to deal with a selenium deficiency, most calves with it will die within a few days of birth if not diagnosed and usually the only way to tell in the field is if they are incredibly stiffness or an arched back. In that situation we would have our vet come out and hopefully be able to save the calf with vitamins and selenium treatments. That calf would probably be pulled off its mom if we can save it and raised as a bottle calf. Great question, thanks for watching - Mike
Actually you can head over to Amazon and search Our Wyoming Life and you will now find our shirts there! Couple different designs and colors available! -Mike

would it be beneficial to till and resead parts of the grazing pasture to help with hay production and offer more graze time into the fall?
We actually just reseeded a bunch 2 years ago, since then we have had drought so hopefully if we get some good rain it will come up completely. Thanks Kris and thanks for watching - Mike
Holy cow a vacation don't tell my wife Ranchers can have those
I'm not sure any rancher is comfortable taking a vacation but sometimes it just needs to be done. Its only 3 days but should be a nice break. -Mike

What do you do when a calf is born with white muscle disease
