Hello Excuse my poor english This guy and his mates have certainly been touched by grace... Their briliant music is always spontaneous, rich and generous, smart but accessible, colorful and pleasant.. Sounds like they had been playing together 100 years til now.. Deep Bluegrass Ground + Spanish, Arabic, TechnoHouse, Jazz, Funk... + well inspired ideas + strong technical power + [much] Soul + [much] work.. Great Human Band! Thanks for posting this! Salut
Thank you for posting the show in its entirety... most ytubers post singles...fine...but with jams like these... having the whole show is a necessity.. so.... super grateful to you, Larry, for this🤘🏾💯🔥💓💃
Away From The Mire is the most badass awesome rendition of this song I have ever heard before. The sounds that Billy issues from that acoustic/electric guitar are phenomenal. I absolutely love this.
It's fun watching these boys perform and succeed. They are growing together as a band as they and their music matures. They are catching "lighting in a bottle", keep it going. We are all lucky to see it happening.
These boys share the same heartbeat when they play friend! The finest concert I've ever had the privilege of seeing! Less than 2000 folks, a truly momentous occasion!
I saw him on ACL AUSTIN CITY LIMITS - and DALLAS DEEP ELUM FACTORY, and PORTLAND Troutdale Oregon. Can't get enough of these guys...videos are the best ticket in the house! Many thanks to all the excellent video photographers everywhere!
Thanks again Larry for posting these shows this band is the epitome of traveling minstrel shows that have carried human culture through the millennium art is the constant form of joy
AGAIN a big thank you Larry. I listen to this at least 5 times a day! glad it's not a cassette tape, i would have wore it out the first week! and Billy is right, Alex kills that fiddle!
@@OccupyMelody I agree but I think the new generation of bluegrass fans is totally different on social issues than the old school guys. But anytime a positive message can be put in front of anyone it's a good thing
They say you killed country by being too good at it; you will win every award you're ever nominated for and some you weren't nominated for. I'm sure some people want to use your accessibility and manners to fulfill some agenda or another. I' was a rock critic before you were born and I'm way done. So in my dotage I'''ll for no reason urge you to check out: Delaney Davidson/Marlon Williams; Greg Brown; Charlie Pickett.. None are like you but their music is of a similar extremely brilliant all that good shit. Thanks for all these amazing pieces of art.
I was at this show and experienced one of the wordt examples of racism I have ever seen. Not Billys fault but OMG the dfans are twisted. The Black Couple from a local college were treated so harsh and evil when they began to clap when Billy Played "Man of constant sorrow" . The young idiots laughed at them and then comes the crazy N word. They held their ground because the guy was a monster and the little white kids knew they would lose in a fight with him. Finally I had to butt in by asking them if they knew who Arnold Sultz was? Their reply was "this aint no rap show" I said yeah clearly but he is the father of this music in the first place. This shit is becoming absurd. Who knows what billy thinks of black people but they have every right to enjoy a show just as you do.....shut the f up. They finally did because beer was passed and they forgot why they were mad.
@@TypingHazard The thing is Bluegrass was a black art, music enjoyed pretty much only by black mountain people. It all depends on what location you are I think. Billy is from Mich but that area is really a hotbed these days. If I were black I would prolly feel safer in Mississippi. It really took away from the show and many felt very umcomfortable about what they heard.
Recording could benefit from a visit to a sound/audio engineer to remove reverb/echo/and trash. I recommend my brother Samuel William Roberts, he's the best hearer I know, and he won't rake you over the coals financially because he loves his work.
Saw Billy for the first time on 12/9/23 in Baltimore. Maryland. Thanks to RUclips I've now seen him in 9 different states in 4 days. incredible.

Worth every penny!!!
Wow....closing with WARGASM.....which even though they didnt put on the last album, i consider it the greatest song they ever wrote. Amazing
M m. N
I’m thankful Billy and the Boys closed with Wargasm at the Outlaw music festival. Takes some balls, and ol bluegrass chops to win the crowd first!!!

Thank you Larry, been listening to this over and over again! I would say the sound guy upped the bass a bit more, it really stands out in this one.

Gotta have time stamps
I love that I can see the show again! Thank You 🥰
Oh my God you all are Heaven! Beautiful!
Much enjoyed, thank you. Cool to hear the play a John Hartford song.
And here I played a woodwind...saxaphone pffft! My fingers didn't feel right on a guitar though, way to go Billy from Coldwater Michigan!

Thank you for sharing this…I hope I see THEM someday but if not, it’s a lot of fun seeing someone’s angle like this. So cool! ☮️ And also, OMG!

Seeing billy is like seeing Jerry in the 70s
Jerry never had Billy's energy
I'm old I saw Jerry in the seventies and I know Billy's going to take me to my grave

This fucken blows. Much as I enjoy newgrass I can't stand the good ol boys that come along with the bluegrass label

57:39 🤣
summer time is particularly inspiring besides the guitar takinga shit
him and Marcus King do a great one on carter guitars site
Amy and her show is much better. She can flatpick her way around everybody, except maybe Michael Daves... Without looping.
