Very true. My youngest son and his girlfriend (20) purchased a mini doxie back in December. My mom had passed away on December 12th, and my son’s girlfriend actually brought him over the evening of my mom’s funeral. Imagine actually smiling and laughing on the evening of your mom’s funeral, but our little guy did that for me…for all of us. He spends most of the time here, and has been a godsend. He is truly a blessing and a part of our family.

We have a dachshund/terrier mix who absolutely rules me! She’s smart, loving, stubborn and dominating and I love her to death, especially when she sits on the back of the couch and looks out the window, or chases after a ball fighting her much bigger brothers for!
Dachshund, the dog gives for life colors. I had dachshunds with me for 23 years. When the latter went to other hunting grounds in the fall, I really feels how much the soul of one small dog was able to fill the house. :)
My mini red dap has one blue eye and she melts my heart every time she looks at me. I recently went through a very rough patch of life, but she was right there cuddling and making me laugh. I LOVE THIS BREED OF DOGS !!!
And the minute you are alone again at home, cause Mac is out to the Vet or somewhere, it's like the home is so EMPTY, so Quiet and so LONELY !! I really miss my furbaby when he's not here but thank goodness it's not often. TOO QUIET !! 🐾🐾💞💞🐾🐾😁😁

I grew up with a brown female, standard-size Dachshund named Schatzie. We got her on Father's Day, 1964! I don't know how my Dad's "Father's Day" was that year, but it was his children's favorite "Father's Day"! We ❤'d Schatzie, and to this day, my cousins from NY who came down every August for the month, still talk about what a "cool" dog Schatzie was!!!🥰
Of course we had a life before our Dachshund, but it wasn't complete. After a Dachshund joined us, we suddenly had purpose & meaning. Life simply isn't complete without one or two, or three! Lol. My husband passed away when only 43 & I don't know what I would have done without the comfort & love of our little Sausages. They without a doubt are the best ❤️🐾
I just can't imagine my life now without my dogs really.. But sometimes unexpected circumstances happen and I just had to leave home for a week or a few months for work I really feel sad not seeing or hearing them the whole day. They just make an ordinary day special and any bad mood or blues you'll have just instantly goes away. 😊 Great job Mac for making your fur-parents happy! 😊❤
