    Hi, thank you for the video. I just purchased this exact same router and it works extremely well. I tried two different SIM cards, one for the 4G network and one for the 5G Network and they both connected flawlessly. There was not that much difference between speeds, the 5G produced about 20 MB more but that could be where I've got the router placed to my house. Hello, may you explain me how the HNAT/QoS settings work?
    Br

    • @CouchPotatoCafe
      @CouchPotatoCafe  Год назад +1

      HNAT is a solution offered for SIP clients who connect from a location behind a router (ISP, MPLS, etc.) that performs NAT to the all the traffic, including SIP, BUT without being aware of the SIP content (and therefore not changing it as it is expected).
      This will cause problems in the process of SIP handling (phones unable to register, one-way audio).
      The QoS (Quality of Service) feature allows you to prioritize the internet traffic of specific devices to guarantee a faster connection when you need it the most. The router has preset an appropriate bandwidth allocation policy, so you don’t need to set different priorities for all devices. Simply set the desired device to High Priority and set how long you want it to remain the high priority, then the device will be allocated with more bandwidth when the network is overloaded

      High Chad, even though my 5G is spotty here I chose to go with the P5 because the race for carriers getting 5G coverage out to rural areas is heating up big time. I just want to be ready and not spend twice but to your question is yes. Although if you just want the 4G version I would really suggest getting the 4x4 mimo such as this one amzn.to/3V8fJN5

      @@CouchPotatoCafe Yes I was looking for 4x4 mimo I just was seeing the 5g cudy was like 500 plus $ , when on eBay has the 4G version for low 300s$ range ( amazon still wants 429$ ish ) and where we are at , we are over 10 or 12 miles direct line of sight from the only cell tower in our area and even when it gets 5G I just don't think 5G will reach out to us..

    The only problem with these Quectel modems is last time I used one they dropped carrier aggregation after 5 minutes. (LT18)
    These routers should be setup to continually drop and reconnect a band so that CA stays active, but they aren't for some reason.
