This video proves why I like the Kohler Ingeniums WAY more than any other modern toilet, since it’s the only low flow that has great bowl rinse, great performance, and only takes one flush to do its job! I like the Ingeniums even better than the 1992-2004 Comfort Height Altos (Crane Hymont trapway). Most of the other low flow toilets have very short flushes, barely any bowl rinse, and can take more than one flush to do their jobs, especially the Class 5s/6s, Cadet 3s, Champion 4s, Drakes, ProFlos, Glacier Bays, Niagara Stealths, Westerns, pressure assist toilets, etc. Therefore, if a modern toilet takes more than 1 flush to do its job, then it possibly can use more than 1.6-3.5 gpf!
Ingenium all the way, I love the original flapper and style, I’ve been trying to find myself one with the flapper for so long now and I haven’t been able to yet
The Ingenium is mediocre while the Class Five is good. The reason why the Ingeniums are worse than the Class Fives is because they clog more easily. Class 5s are probably the best Modern Kohler ever made. The older Ingenium’s (made 1997-2004) clog kind of easily. The 2003 models tend to be the ones that clog easily.
They should make a PA version of the ingenium, I like the trapway style better than the normal Pressure lite. It’s not really practical considering there already fairly similar but I think it would be cool
Just did a walk-through of my new house to be completed in June. They hace installed Kohler ADA terlits I've not seen before that's a hybrid of the Ingenium and the class 5. It's 1.28 gpf, has straight down bowl rinse (no swirl), and the trapway is a hybrid of both. Water combines right at the front of the trapway and does a short push spray into it, a lot like a Kohler Downing on a tank.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Found out the model name. _Intrepid_ Looked in the trapway and the front part is same as the current AS Madera with the raised half circle of porcelain with a hole on the straight part for the siphon jet and the rest of the trapway is a combo of Ingenium and Class 5. Has no swirl and has a small spray of water into the trapway where bowl rinse water all comes together like the Kohler Downing.
Hello does anyone know what the difference of a wellworth and highline is. I just thought the highline is higher and comfort height and the wellworth is not???
I’ve been trying to find one of your videos where you are completely pleased with the performance of a toilet. Which o toilet would you say performs the best or is your absolute favorite?
The Ingenium is a good all around performing toilet. The class 5 probably would've done better if it had a flapper flush valve instead of those awful aqua pistons. Makes insufficient water and the flush too short
