@@michaellittlejohns7968 I've been on the ride. The drop looks small in the video but it's actually pretty high. (not to mention the shape of the boat probably wouldn't allow it to drop any higher without tipping over)
It seems pretty low effort. I would have hoped it would have some more production value to it. It's the same shit that's been around for the past 20 years.
I absolutely love this. This is a really good variant of Jurassic Park that differentiates itself from the River Adventure. I do kinda wish we got to see the Spino on this ride, as we have not seen it on any attraction and it was mainly aquatic.
I like how the animatronic stegosaurus and baby stegosaurus had been built to look like how they had appeared of the 1997 film "The Lost World: Jurassic Park". (1:00) I wish the same had also been done for the ride at Universal Studios Hollywood and the Universal Orlando Resort too.
When I lived in Singapore going to Universal Studios was so much fun!! Once when I went there it was raining (not surprising) and I went on the Jurassic Park rapids ride. My family and I were soaked by the time we were outside of the launching area + it helped bring the vibes from the movie when it rained and the flooding aspect. I also went in the front row on the Cylon in the rain and it was so much fun but the rain felt like little ice balls (it stung a lot). I hope you enjoyed visiting just as much as I did living there for 4 years!!
@@lsinner80 yeah, it will be "expanded". They're adding Minion Park & Super Nintendo World to USS. Minion Park will be built near Far Far Away land, while Super Nintendo World will replace the existing Madagascar land.
When I was in Singapore, I went to Universal Studios specifically for the JP ride. It was shut down for repairs at the time. Gutted, as I'll likely never be back.
Dude I did the same for Universal Studios Japan, the 2 rides I wanted to do were Jurassic Park and Shing Godzilla both were shot down! I was so pissed.
I'm glad the baby T.rex was back. It was removed from the waterfalls like two years ago. Also, the last dilophosaurus is new? I don't remember seeing it before.
What a cool set! Shame the animatronics are a bit sub-par 'cept for that last rex, but the theme is really cool. Love those sharp crags during the rapids section. :D
11 years ago I went on this ride with my family during a 2 week holiday to Singapore. It was my introduction to JP and kickstarted my passion for dinosaurs. Best summer ever
Since this is based of off The Lost World, the ride has two Rexes. Are you able to tell them apart? The one that stares behind the barrier looks like the buck rex (male), while the final rex looks like the female. Though in the movie, the male rex played a larger role in the movie.
As cool as this ride is, I still think the California version with the massive T-Rex that comes up and gets within inches of you before the big drop is better. Seeing that thing come out of the darkness and roar at you a second before you dip and get drenched sends chills down my spine every single time. Still, this version looks awesome and I wish I could give it a go!
So like I know everyone is loving this one? But the OG JP ride at Universal California just has that magic and beauty... this looks like a lot of bushes and the occasional Dino, the T-Rex ending in Cali is the best....
The first time I rode this was when I was 7. I remember screaming and shouting so much that the 2 strangers that were on the same ride as my family were laughing so hard(luckily not angry with me)
Fun fact about this ride: your picture is taken above you when the T-Rex appears so you have to look up to get a good pic 😭😭😭😭 (I always used to close my eyes in the dark bits then just tilt my head up at the end rip)
@@juishydomangoes8623 I don’t exactly remember because whenever I get into the dark part I close my eyes but I think when he elevator rises you are meant to be actually face to face with the t-rex and not like just a short glimpse of it
This ride looks absolutely amazing! Great atmosphere and themes. I'd love the track to have longer moments of that river rapid feel/more fast paced and frantic. And maybe 2 more drops in addition to the finale. Kind of like the Grizzly River Run at DCA.
The light show in the bulding should be reprogrammed, they should come on as we approach, to avoid seeing the dinosaurs as far in advance (especially as their movements are not crazy ...), mainly on the final scene of the elevator, the impact could be great if we saw at the last moment the Trex above the elevator shaft. 🤔
I remember i rode this ride like 4 times (tips: ride this ride when they are about to close , there will be less people there and that time we got to ride it two times in a row we didn't stop ) the first time i rode it i accidentally curse in front of everybody when our float went up
Wwoohhhhh😳 that is so cool I think.. So I need to go there!! Wonder how much Trouble is it too travel to that country for a week? Idk but I need to go there
3:24 How the hell did you miss that!? All the dinosaurs are close up and easy to spot, yet somehow you miss an easy close-up shot opportunity! Did you seriously find the small waterfall more interesting!?
I've been on this a few times. It's okay, but unfortunately the dinosaurs are now looking tatty. They haven't maintained them well. Last time the t-rex didn't even move at all. And the dilophosaurus had skin hanging off. The version in Japan is like the classic one and is great.
This is basically Jurassic Park River Adventure meets Kali River Rapids and I absolutely love it

ANOTHER VIDEO!
2:13 the fact they used actual ride as a prop is awesome. Makes it a bit more surreal I guess instead of using a random boat.
They killed it on the theming here!

I think the reason we didn't the Spino is because the ride is based of the 2nd movie and the Spino appeared in the third
True
@@natpire3851 No it was based on the first movie.
Regardless of how stiff the animatronics are, this still looks really fun
Finally, a high qualoty vid of this ride. Thanks for helping me relive those freat memories
"Why do they look so pissed off?" That honestly got a big chuckle out of me X'D
Imagine the raptor just said “Alan”
LOL
😂😂😂😂
I hate this scare!
Lol
Lies again? UEFA SW
This looks amazing . Now imagine a makeover with more modern dinosaur robots 🔥🙌🏻
You mean the 4 terrible animatronics didn't cut it for you?
there should be a fight between the T-Rex and the I-Rex right before the final drop, that would be used for Jurassic World: River Rapids Adventure.
Really spectacular! Spare no expense.
Looks like they spared plenty expense.

Yessss!!! I was thinking that as well!
Note how much more limited the movements are though.

Looks much better than the Jurassic world ride in hollywood
How
Because it has more dinosaurs, a natural setting and is unique in terms of design.

The scale of those waterfalls and jagged rocks section was so awesome

That's because there are two elevators and drops in order to increase capacity.
