Stunning looking and sounding kit Steve. Love the white wrap. I always liked the Sonor drum lugs, very classy. Beautiful press rolls, Thanks Steve!

Cannot go wrong with aged 6-ply beech Sonors

as far as i know the 6ply was the champion, and the 9ply super champion, they are selling this as a "ply super champion"?

Don't know how rare the are in the States but in Europe the go for under 600 euro's without the snare.

What metal is the snare ?

That's a seemless shell with roundover edges made out Ferromangnese (?), i guess it's steel plus something...have one of these since decades, it's fantstic sounding drum, verry sensitive and a lot of power if needed....kind of a german answer to the acrolite...

Fantastic ! And LOVE the sound of that snare. Is it aluminum or steel or brass ?

Sonor had a real run of Ferromanganese steel through the 70/80's they did brass in the 60 and 90's on and then did Alu only recently!
