There's no filter. That's all her voice. Mayu is that talented, & Nemophila are fast rising stars. They have a bunch of videos (the mass majority being covers) in studio where she hits those screams & transitions to clean vocals pretty effortlessly. Check out their cover of Babymetal's "Megitsune" & Linkin Park's "Given Up" to see more of that. Also check out "Monsters", "Sorai", "Raitei", & their cover of "Kurenai" by X Japan.
100% her voice, as most of the songs were written in another comment, I would add the song Life to it as it is their softest song but has meaning specially with the live video that is from 1 of their livestream that happened soon after Tamu (the kickass drummer) came back from giving birth. As for the covers, pick 1 that is from a band that you know and you will just be in awe. I found them with their cover of The trooper and they have been climbing my list of favorite bands ever since and are safe with Lovebites and Unlucky Morpheus as my top 3 go to bands now. 10 years ago I would never had thought of saying my favorites were gonna be all from Japan and all with female singers but Japan is where the best metal is atm.

They are a super-group composed of: Mary's Blood guitarist Saki ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X) ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Muratatam (also does other projects) Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized by Saki and Mayu. They started off posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. Then they began posting originals, starting with “Oiran” ruclips.net/video/eyb2NtPwcxc/видео.html Their originals show a trend toward harder and heavier. Other than Saki, none of them had previously been with a breakout band, despite having amazing chops. Getting these five together did the trick-they are just exploding. Yes its all Mayu check out Oiran no filters and its close to the same played live, this studio recording is cleaned up and mixed well but no effects there a fantastic new band less than 2 years old other MV is Raitei ,go look up there YT pages for all the details and songs .
By far my favorite find of 2020, as soon as I saw The Trooper cover I was hooked. If you have not tried Jinjer yet check them out, any song beast female singer in Tatiana.
There's definitely a filter for the scream. Seen them live online and you can see a distorion peddle for the screaming bits.....very little distortion but it gives it more umph and a slight tinny/brassy quality.
It is her voice. But there is a high pass filter. In the live version the tone is deeper, but still, the screaming is pretty similar. So yes, she sounds like this, but it is enhanced a bit. I kind of like the raw sound better. But anyhow, this is cool also.
actually mayu scream voice just remind me of karina utomo, the vocalist of Australian hardcore band High Tension, she also sing both clean and scream voice
