- When I first started running at Park Runs I stayed local within 17-20 miles of my home address. My home is ideally situated between 4 Park Runs which are within the above mileage range, these being: Clumber Park: Scunthorpe: Normanby Hall, Doddington Hall. From my 113 Total Park Runs I have ran 82 of these split between the aforementioned 4 Park Runs. Clumber Park leads the way with 35.
A few years ago we purchased a Caravan for family holidays which we have now swapped for a motorhome. As we travelled around the country on our holidays I made a point of finding the nearest Saturday morning Park Run to our touring base. I have now managed to visit a total of 28 different Park Run Venues and I thought it would be fantastic if I could reach that magic number of 50 different locations.
So this is my new series of attempting to Target 50 different Park Run Venues. With 28 already completed, I have chosen Lincoln Park Run as my 29th in a different venue and this will be my 114th all together. Lincoln Park Run is held in Boultham Park, which is situated about 1.5 miles south of Lincoln City Centre. The Park was opened to the Public in 1929 and about 5 years ago the park was subject of 2.5 million heritage lottery funding upgrading all aspects of the park and adding additional features too.
Great to see you attending my home parkrun.
Thanks Peter I really enjoyed the course and learning about Doris & Sandra's corner, really nice Marshalls! I only live 45 minutes away so I will be back!
Cheers, Kev. Lincoln is my hometown and Boultham (pronounced "Boo-tam") Park is on my list of Parkruns.
Thanks for watching the video & the correction on the pronunciation. I must go back to Lincoln as I really enjoyed it with friendly volunteers
Nice one. Only done that once. Not as fast as Doddington would you say? It's a while since we went there.
It's a lovely course set in a beautiful Park. It's all on Tarmac with a few twists & turns. Narrow paths at the start & lots of bunching up & you will get boxed in if you start in the wrong place. Doddo is faster
I haven't done Boultham Park yet, but I got a decent time at Doddo Hall. It's a nice round route but there's a bit of a crowd to wade through for the first K and a prolonged bottleneck for the K approaching the cones at the halfway point. Market Rasen is one of the best ones to get a PB.
