The PR amd Citizenship process is discretionary in Malaysia. The entire process and qualifications are stated in the Constitution which is its sole document. So, just keep applying and re-apply if rejected (seek legal counsel first) until you get it. Yes its annoying and troublesome but thats the process. In addition to it write in formally to the Home Minister seeking your intention as it is the full authority of the Home Minister under the Constitution to approve all and any applications. The National Registration Department is the facilitating and management organization. Its all clearly stated in the Constitution.
I believe different nationality has different expectation and it's always a big decision when come to live in a new country and start from scratch. As for me, I moved to live in Australia and had young kids for their best education is our top priority though we missed our favourite durian, local M'sian foods and the far away beaches in the east coast. But nowadays, best M'sian foods are easily found all over the world and durians are grown in Darwin Australia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Hainan Island of China. With the best money 3 times of Ringgit, we are happy to travel 3 times a year via M'sia to other part of Asia. We found M'sian food in M'sia are no longer taste like M'sian which are greatly diluted by migrants taking over the traditional hawker stalls and restaurant outlets. M'sia living cost is still hard for ordinary income earners unless you're like this young lady who earn S$ and spend in M'sia. Asian people are generally helpful, kind and friendly as culturally they have no fear or feel suspicious for foreign people unlike foreigners who are polarised with their wealth, status quo and prefer to keep their privacy to themselves. And I was told M'sia is a much easier country for Muslim to migrate from the middle east if I'm not wrong.
Malaysia does not grant citizenship to foreigners and giving PR is very rare regardless if you are holding MM2H (My Malaysia 2nd Home) program. Getting spouse visa is also very hard. Malaysia is not Singapore whom give out PR higher rate than Malaysia. PR is usually given to applicants have valuable skills or BIG BIG business owner in Malaysia. Malaysia's policy on granting citizenship is 2nd strictest after Brunei as these country are protecting their own citizen and respective countries interest. There is always alternative country for foreigners to go to as long as their passport allows them.
My guy, PR and citizenship are two different things. I can understand your perspective of Malaysia wanting to preserve their culture and bloodline, in fact, majority of countries do so. But if someone fell in love with your country and have been living there for more than a decade and would like to simply continue living there, what's the harm of issuing a PR?
@@M.Ali11 You cannot force a government to give you PR just because you want to stay. This matter of the hosting country’s sovereignty and their discretion. The hosting country reserves her right to grant PR to whom they deem fit (financially and clean background) and best to help the growth of the country. No Tom, Dick or Harry will be stupid / idiot enough to give a room in their house to total stranger to stay in permanently. We don’t want a bunch of nut case / hooligans / troublemakers disturb our culture and society (like on-going nutcase arguement on LGBTQ issue in the west and etc). @@M.Ali11 Singapore give out PR selectively based on whether individual's skill, working experience, knowledge is unique and a talent needed for businesses and industries in Singapore and any business opportunities to be brought to Singapore. All governments are realistic and protecting interest of their people. Singapore is also realistic and materialistic and has her commitment to her people (same for all governments). No foreign governments (apart from your country of origin) owes you PR status. There are so many countries for you to try your luck.

The cons about Malaysia based on my 4 years experience between year 2006 and 2010 is the lack of safety. It's not safe (compared to northern European countries) and crimes are high. I witnessed robberies several times, my own mother was robbed of her handbag by a car and got her ribs broken on broad day light, we had thieves trying to break in and our neighbor used to sneak in escort girls at night. Reporting a crime was useless because it was so common that the police didn't care. 2 blocks away from where we lived a young girl was sliced into 8 pieces and thrown in the river after months of being gone (kidnapped). They also tried to kidnap me when I was 13 and 2 Indian men came up to me at the supermarket and said my parents were waiting for me upstairs - upstairs was the parking lot. You can't stroll around in local areas unless you dress in pyjamas and look poor. You can't take a solo walk at the park as a female without being bothered and worse, stalked. Here in Europe I walk home at 2 am after work without fear. That is impossible and dangerous in Malaysia, even more so as a white foreigner. The pros are the nature, food, beaches, laid back and chill lifestyle and people are generally friendly too. It's cheap and low tax. There are a vast variety of nationalities, even more so now than before. Malays are not bigotted, they are are modern and very clean too. The Malaysian language is easy to learn and they highly appreciate your poor attempts at trying to communicate in Malay. Education is superb. School is a lot more strict and disciplined compared to Europe. The level of education I got there was high above the education my peers got in Europe, when I came back to Europe with my family I jumped 3 years. Women are respected and play a large roll in society, especially within family. There are many business opportunities in Malaysia. It doesn't take a lot to make a decent living. I like the weather too, even the rainy and stormy seasons. Something cosy about it.
I'm very sorry about your experience, but unfortunately Europe is not safe for women either. We suffer lower salaries, obstetric violence at hospitals, glass ceiling in senior company positions, we all learn since childhood that walking alone at night on the street is a big risk, direct sexist violence and also hidden violence is in the jokes, the press articles, the movies... , so we continue to be a piece of meat for many backward mentalities and this must change in all countries.
What neighborhood did you stay in where the robbery happened? I am planning to stay there for a period of time and it is good to know where and what to watch out for.

That is really amazing and another levels..Surprisingly, with all that they achieve in their life, they still can consistently control themselves as a good believer who follows the teaching of islam.. I believe, By the fact and examples that are shown by them, We still can confirm, Kazakhtan is still a pure muslim country which is not just by the traditional culture, but also the religion of islam.. 5,000USD is about 22,000MYR. Not sure that is living like a local.

Ya. The title How can a foreigner live like a local in Malaysia is not really reflective
I never heard they priorities to Chinese to give PR. You must be smoking.
to get PR status easily, keep your passport clean. dont travel in/out malaysia too many times. treat PR status as loyalty card. it's not the same as visa.
Wah you really like weather here . Mantul👍🏻👍🏻
Lovely lady and that's what we want foreigners feel when they live in Malaysia... we want them enjoy their life and positive...be Malaysian...
Well said this lady. Cheers.
Singapore property prices these days are higher than what she said 😅
She deserves a PR. Application is tidious but its quite standard. Submit the form wait for interview with immigration and then another round with the police department and finally wait for the approval.
nope..gth

About the immigration being strict is so true. My friend had delayed in renewing his visa and he was asked to leave the country immediately and not allowed to re-enter for another 5 years.

Her biggest change is to become a durian lover.
I feel blessed to be a Malaysian.
How can she stay in Malaysia for 13 years as a foreigner, what kind of visa does she have to stay so long
Her numbers for comfortable living are per year, or per months.
There is always other countries willing to accept you.
I heard Indonesian are easier to get PR. Coz they have the same religion and race. Other than that, it’s impossible to get Malaysian PR/Citizen.

Jim Rogers sent his kids to a local school in Singapore. And he's a billionaire. His kids had done very well for themselves. International schools in Singapore are not necessarily better than local ones, and local schools are also considerably cheaper.

I know that foreigner being a pr in Malaysia is super strict/even change nationality for it.. but for now with the malaysia is my 2nd home,MM2H i think personally making it one of the attraction for foreigner to settling down here.. hopefully she does get the PR stats..
All i know the restrictions for it due to national security..maybe something happend during the 70-90era make it so strict, idk, just throwing out some wild guessed here..
MM2H in current form (after 2021) is very strict, expensive and inflexible. Applications dropped 90% last 2 years as no takers. Now they got it is not working so have to review the terms, hope it will be better in the near future
As a malaysian many places i still no opportunities yet but travel around south east asia

I agree with u about safety in msia.. heard of some many robberies
To someone who loves durian, the smell is not awful at all.
Like how a cigar smoker loves the tobacco smell but non-smokers hate it. Same goes for blue cheese.
she seems like a lovely lady... i dont imagine what kind of life she is used to for 30,000usd a month in Singapore though... maybe i got that wrong.. she said 30k per month right?
Yes.. thats true.. malaysian man love kids..
For our expatriates tourists n honoured guests...u are most welcome to stay in Malaysia...u may find it a little difficult to get PR cos the relevant authorities need to ensure 'safety first' for the benefits ...of both U n US ..but i believe Malaysians definitely welcome u ur family n friends.....if u re nature lovers n concern about value of ur money , language proficiency esp English..u like to witness n enjoy multiculturalism n friendly people than Malaysia may be ur best choice..

Getting PR in Malaysia is rediculous ,although over the years the process has improved ,🎉
I love Kazakhstan because there got my role model like Khabib Nurmagomedov, islam Makenchev, Usman Nurmagamedov,Umar Nurmagomedov,Zubaira Abiliev,Magomed Sharipov and also not forget to our respectful coach in MmA history Allahyarham Abdul Manap a.k.a Khabib father.. But for some reason, let's agree to disagree..By watching their daily lifestyle, the way they practice islam as the religion, and how they are proud to be a muslim..which, also how they control themselves for being humble, even most of them has already been listed as one of the best mma fighters (p4p/goat) in the world.. Well., that is some of the facts/ views that make me think it differently as what you think..But that is only my personal opinion,Just a small matter.. Lets proceed to inter transfer together.. 😁

She’s a businesswoman and she has money, dealing with the Ritz Carlton and Mandarin Oriental. She’s talking about a very comfortable living for that kind of money.
Hi, I'm planning my 1st trip to KL and penang this October, I want to move to Malaysia. I know it might be easy, but I have to try.
However, I HAVE NO PROBLEM MOVING TO A MUSLIM COUNTRY BUT. Can anyone tell me when it's time for prayer does the chanting/music/melody go on several times a day , I Don't mind but what about through the night when Others are sleeping? Does the music play several times during the night?

So bad to get PR ya. Thanks for info.
I have a honest question..since she has been living in malaysia for 13 years and doesn't have a PR does shee need to pay her taxes every year?
This is Malaysia❤
Any food without sugar and ginger...is testy food
She has been lived in malaysia for 13 years. Could she talk in malay language fluently ?
PR maybe not easy but with visa and permit, not problem to any foreigners to live and stay at Malaysia. Actually PR was huge issues then when been political tools for certain political parties. I don't to discuss about it. Just let it be as annual routine for permit and visa rather than thinking about PR. After all, its actually easy to get after you know the system and know the peoples.
as a malaysian, for me, I'm very welcome any one in this world to visit my country in a friendly and legal way. If any one come here to spread any propaganda and try to change our democracy political environment, there is a BIG NO NO
