@@BucketheadStudios I was really helped by a french channel that explained that with an old couch, a cutter and a fork you can do lots of thing! Now I love leather work!
I just watched your latest video on attaching the armour. You made it look a lot easier then Cruzer's Tutorial. I've been worried about this part. As you know if you don't get the armour lined up correctly it doesn't look right. Not to mention poking holes in leather freaks me out a bit. The armour you bought looks great. I wish I knew about that maker before I ordered mine from Bobamaker. It's going to be sometime before I get my Flak vest and armor from him. Do you have a link to the buttons and tools you used to attach the buttons?
Thank you, yeah was definitely something I was concerned about, but it's not too hard, just a meticulous operation. My flak vest is from Bobamaker, you won't regret it, it's so nice! These are the snaps I used www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003X2ELQ6 these ones come with the setting tools
I would say just get a regular polyurethane (resin) kit and put it in yourself. Use a heat gun to heat up that area then just push it in and hold till it cools (or run under water if you can) I imagine that's exactly how they did it for the movie
Any chance you have a pic or can follow up on the back plate? I was thinking of doing two snaps at the tops on the shoulder but wasnt sure past that were to put snaps.
Not done mine yet! Long overdue, but working on how it's going to interact with the jackpack harness underneath. Would probably do 8 or 10 all round, in the corners for sure

How do you know exactly what distance from the edge your scores that you make with the calliper need to be? By that I mean how do you know that the distance between the two points on the calliper is the right distance to use?
Looks fantastic! Jango Fett is the coolest.
This looks like a really smart way to have done this. I plan on using this method on my new Batman cosplay
Awesome job! I've been trying to convince myself to go with snaps or magnets rather than velcro for the kit I'm working on.
The snaps were pretty easy in the end, just a lot of measuring and trying on to get the placement right
Thanks for the video!
Working through upgrading my 6+year old homebuild, and this is PERFECT!!!
That looks great, well done. That would look great on my motorcycle jacket!
Wow that’s just amazing
Great video! I'll use this to attach my Mando armor this week!
That looks so cool I cant wait to see the final finished thing
Very cool. Can't wait to see the end result!
Wow! Took you a beard of time ! ;) Love it! I'm nearly finishing Robb stark leather armor!
Ooo that's cool, need to learn more leather work

Thank you! thanks for watching 🙌🏻
@@BucketheadStudios big fan here in texas, usa.
Have you worked on your Jango lately? I would love to see more videos.
Not lately I'm afraid. I just moved house too, so am still setting up my work space 🙂
@@BucketheadStudios Congrats on your move. I guess I'll have to finish my Jango without you. 😛
Good luck!
awesome!
“bAcKwArDs mEaSuRiNg sYtEm cAlLeD iMpErIaL” okay, imperial.
I am working on a Mandalorian costume

Love this! How were you getting the snaps on the fabric there? I’m considering doing that for my boba Fett
Punch a hole, then hammer together the snap
Who would you recommend that does the Jango helmet with the dent?

BucketHead Studios, where did you get your flak vest? It looks amazing!
Bobamaker (has his own site) 👍🏻

I’ll buy it rn😂
Where did you get the leather jacket from?
Seller called Bobamaker (have their own website)
@@BucketheadStudios thanks 👍

Haha I know! In fact we still use Imperial where I work 😄
@@BucketheadStudios i love using both imperial and metric.
Keeps the brain ready for anywhere in world.👍😁😁
What size and type of snaps did you use?
Hmm do they ship to the US?
Would the techniques used for installing the snaps work for a cloth flak jacket?
Yes it would, as long as the armour isn't too heavy for the cloth it's made from (it may sag down too much)
How do you know exactly what distance from the edge your scores that you make with the calliper need to be?
By that I mean how do you know that the distance between the two points on the calliper is the right distance to use?
No right or wrong, just following what others did before, and it totally worked for the snaps I was using. Just make sure your snaps fit/don't show
@@BucketheadStudios where did you get those bolt swashers?
