- Have a look at how easy it is to make a flat white on our new Lelit Mara X with the Coffee Sensor flow control kit. The workflow almost reminds me of a cafe setting, you can make coffees back to back with ease.
What would you change in our workflow on the Lelit Mara X???

Great video, happy to see you are enjoying your new machine.
Love how compact it is
Thank you Alan, it's 100% a banger 🤙
Bro, that looks so good coming out of the shower screen. ❤ I'm looking at getting the profitec pro 600 with flow control, but I'll add the flow control later as it will be my first manual machine. I think it would be best to learn the basics of the craft first. I'm unsure on grinders. I'm thinking perhaps the Jmax initially to save on costs, the maybe a Niche Zero down the track. My wife may divorce me if I spend too much all at once.
thanks for sharing this. I'm looking into grabbing a mara x but not sure about what is new in the 2022 version. Also, I was hoping you could share a link to the CF kit.(I'm assuming you installed that yourself)
very nice
The machine seems like a pleasure to work with.
...and that grinder is very fast!
It's amazing, using it every day is a great pleasure 😊
I just started using my Mara X recently and have a question about the brew pump. Might be a silly question, but if I just have water running out of the group head without any portafilter or basket, should the pump gushed have any reading? Or should it stay at 0 or 1? Great context btw!
Thanks!
I haven’t checked on mine … but it shouldn’t feel any resistance so probably no reading at all… if anything then very low.
I have a similar setup, nice video.
The spray you use, does it really make a difference? Do you always spray the beans and why? Have seen others do it but haven’t tried myself.
Just tried new kind of beans and they are a dream to work with without any hassle with my eureka specialita 👌🏻
However after 1,5 weeks they start to change a bit and adjustments need to be done.
Love my machine over 1,5 years of owning it. The only downside to the e61 is the squeaking leaver after doing back flushes. It is really a balance between not using detergent too often and when you do not too much.
What I am missing now is a better wdt tool with the station u have and also the flow control kit. Just don’t leave the pump running over 1 minute, it is not recommended.
I will also be doing the “operation of water bypass to the tank” and lowering the pressure down to 9 bars.
Keep up the good work!
I like how you keep your professionalism during the workflow 😉. You really take pride in every detail… I like that. I see the “small little details” ☺️.
Really enjoy your channel! I currently have a Gaggia Classic Pro, so I was curious how big of an upgrade is an HX machine like the Mara X?
Nice workflow and setup, the Mara X is an excellent machine for the price and functionality. Definitely my next machine when upgrading 👍 great vid.
Thank you, would recommend this machine 10/10. What are you using atm?
@@tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746 am currenrly using a Sage BES 875, which as a starter machine is excellent getting into coffees but definitely a time for an upgrade. I was torn between the Lelit Mara X & Elizabeth, but definitely decided on the Mara X as upgrades like flow profiling available, which isnt able on the Elizabeth, on a plus point Elizabeth is a dual boiler but i think the mara x is as capable as the elizabeth. I love your chanel by the way and definitely earned a subscribe from me. 👍
@@TheHHIPPO if I was to choose between the Mara & Elizabeth, I'd go for the Mara as well 😁 Thank you 🙏
@@tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746 👍
Nice!
Nice video! Have about the same workflow with my MaraX but stopped using the leveler/distributor, not really sure if I think it is useful. Would be nice to see different profiles for different roasts in the future!
I also find the leveler a bit useless, it just makes a nice flat puck to tamp😂
That's coming up for sure
@@tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746 same :)
I have the Marax but confused about the coffee and the steam mode. Is it (1) for coffee mode and (0) is steam mode? And in which mode the steam bar will be higher? Thanks
Hello. I really like how your extraction looks. Do you mind sharing the type and make of the bottomless portafilter and filter basket that you are using? And your extraction ratio and time? For example 18g coffee in and 36 g espresso out in 30 sec? I’m a total newbie with a Mara X as well. I’d appreciate any help that can make me better at this machine. TYIA.
I got the bottomless portafilter from my friend Paul who owns KBean here in Melbourne. The basket is a 16g VST. I always start with a 1:2 ratio, then adjust one variable at a time until the espresso tastes good
Super.
is it okay to steam milk that is from the fridge? (cold)
That's the best thing to do 😄
The la marzocco portafilters fit this machine?
Good question, I don't know ☺️
Great video! Are you gonna have a video about the flow control?
I'm interested about the responsiveness of it compare to a bianca for example.
That'll come as well eventually, although it's not as responsive as I thought it would be
@@tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746 thanks a lot and keep doing such amazing videos !
How long is your brew time? Did you count from pulling the lever or coffee out from pf?
With preinfusion, bloom phase and main extraction it's up there in 50+ sec. Definitely start counting once you pull the lever
Just a little tip (which I guess you already know). It is not recommended to leave the pump running over 1min…
But you are at 50sec ☺️
So it is ok. 👌🏻
Nice video
It's a pity you didn't show the flow control in operation.
So how different is the taste of the espresso with the flow control kit and with out? Is it more sweeter in a way? more balanced?
Good question do you notice a difference with and without flow control?
From my experience, it makes a huge difference in texture and mouthfeel, deepens the flavour profile a bit as well. I prefer using the flow profiler on medium roasts, whereas I don't use it on light roasts with profound acidity.
I have seen that double jab advertised what’s it like ?
It's pretty good, I'd say better as espresso than filter
Great video team majestic bean!!! Seems like you did a pre infusion around 2 to 3 bar then possibly cut pressure then ramped up?
Thank you Joey 🙏 With the flow profiler it's more about flow output, rather than pressure. I started with the lowest possible flow until the first drops appeared, did a 10 sec bloom with no flow, then ramped it up to the stock flow rate until the end 😁
@@tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746 You say "lowest possible flow", how low is that?
@@scider2 just under 2g of water per second
Sounds quiet for a vibration pump!
I think that's one of Lelit's sales points, it's ridiculously quiet
I like your tatoos
lose the leveler and gone will be the donut
Are you Virgo?
I am here for a content and thank you for it. BUT! Don't hold your cup like that, that is ugly, someone will put it in the mouth.
So funny everyone is so exakt when making the espresso white scale and everything and then you add milk in the espresso and woop who know how the espresso taste
If you use milk just make the espresso quick no need for scale hahahahahaha
1 latte in 6 min its too long, for 5 friends its shall take half an our...or coffee bankrupt
Coffe culture is weird
