Is the system break available in Dorico SE? I don’t see the Engrave Tab while the comparison of Dorico Version on the official website shows it is included.
As Dorico SE doesn't have Engrave mode the system breaks are in the Edit menu instead. steinberg.help/dorico_se/v3/en/dorico/topics/page_formatting/page_formatting_system_breaks_inserting_t.html

I have not yet dared to make the switch to Dorico although I already really love what I can see in these very enjoyable tutorials!
For me, applying manual system breaks is something very essential, a function I use all the time. Whenever the space allows(!) I try to break the music so that it reflects the musical form it is composed in. (Unfortunately this is not the way most music - especially choir music - is notated, which sometimes turns very symmetric forms into rather unsymmetric scores and vice versa....)
I wonder: Is it possible to use a shortcut like SHIFT+S in write mode too? It might sound strange, but this would truly be a game-changer for me!
I don't want to be forced to leave write mode, just to add a system break, as this pulls me out of what I want to do: write music :).
So for me, manually breaking the systems is in fact an essential part of writing the music and laying out the musical form.
Switching modes isn't that much of a problem. Use Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) and the number 2 (for Write mode) and 3 (for Engrave mode). We might add this option one day, but then you wouldn't have some other things like 'make into system' either, so it's best to change modes really.

If you have a keyboard attached then in Engrave mode press Shift-S. If you don't then in Engrave mode make sure the left panel is open and there are system and frame break buttons along with a few other options too.
The Problem with the Dorico videos is information overload. I just created an orchestra score using the film orchestra template, Dorico put 40 measures on one page and divide those into two frames. The print is so tiny! After watching this video i made it worse. So these Anthony Hughes videos don't really help for the reason stated. I usually have to HOPE a third party produces better videos.
