Awesome video Jeff! That place is a real exercise in finding compelling compositions but you did a great job. Digging the vlog style videos man! Keep it up!

ah man I would've shot that hillside scene with the diffuse light at 24:04! beautiful and really shows off the rock colorations of that area. looks like a fun trip!

Yeah - the shot I took shortly after that over the badwater basin from up at Artists Palette was pretty amazing. That wind though - it was taking its toll sitting up on the ridge I was on!

Loved the video and can’t wait to see the Lone Pine piece. I just had to cancel my trip to the Eastern Sierra because of other commitments. Yours will help keep the flame alive 😆

Unfortunately no video from the Lone Pine area. The weekend I was there the weather was pretty miserable with high winds and low clouds. I do have some images I will be sharing from there in the future though, as the last morning there was spectacular!
It is well worth visiting the area, I had not done a lot of research into the area, as I was mainly going for a small photography conference, and wow! I would love to make a future trip back. Great little town and Alabama Hills is rich with scenes for landscape photography!

@@JeffreyTadlockPhotography It’s. A “target rich” environment with the Hills, Horseshoe Meadows, Manzanar, Bristlecone Pines, Mono Lake, and Bodie - among others.

@@cmichaelhaugh8517 Definitely! I managed to visit the Hills a couple of times and did visit Manzanar when I first rolled into town! Definitely a lot more for time to explore in that area!

Great video Jeff! That area might be good for some more intimate shoots like close-ups. I bet that cave you showed in the beginning would definitely be something of interest. I sometimes use these little cube lights that my wife got me a couple years for Christmas that can add to some creativity in dark places. Great advice on looking behind you during sunsets/sunrises. Again, love your videos and can't wait for the next one!

Death Valley is amazing for those smaller scenes as well! I did some stuff on my way back through after Lone Pine in the sand dunes and in one of the other canyons that was some of the smaller scene stuff. So many photography opportunities out there!
      Thanks for watching!

I have not. Hadn't heard of that one before, but looks pretty neat! I only have a cable release remote shutter, nothing fancy.
