    You can apply chamfers and indentations directly to the components on the machine using the new EdgeLine Bevel procedure. This saves additional process steps. Simple and quick programming supports the range of applications. This means that you can process chamfers with different angles and indentations in several sizes.

    • @lakatosf
      @lakatosf 2 года назад

      @@BogdanHurezeanu The laser beam is actualy quite thick. It goes through a lens that focuses it, giving it an elongated hourglass shape. Where it is the thinnest that is the focus point, that is where the material should be for cutting with maximum effectiveness. If you raise the head so the focal point is above the material the laser will hit a larger surface area so instead of cutting a thin gap it melts a groove. The width depends on the thickness of the laser beam, the depth is a function of the power and feed. It is easier to experiment than calculate it. Raise the head for like 10cm slower the feed, raise the power to max and give it a go.

    • @dimitarpavlov3955
      @dimitarpavlov3955 2 года назад +10

      Waterjet can cut any material with high precisison on both face and back side of material. Waterjet is alot mosrr costly as far as consumables. Waterjet is not high volume production friendly and it is too slow. Fiber laser may be challenging for some aluminum alloys as it may blow the back face with too much dross. To achieve cleaner cut, expensive nitrogen gas is required. For aluminum clean cut laser power source has to be much more powerful hence higher cost. Fiber laser cant cut non metal materials well while CO2 laser cuts any material but it is becoming obsolete technology for metals.

      Vielen Dank der Nachfrage und Grüße von der TRUMPF Gruppe

    What is gas and electricity cost per 1000 running mm and thicknees 0.7 mm.for alluminium and stainless steel?
    What power lasour required?

      Hi anand joshi,
      Thank you for your question. The gas and electricity costs depend on many things. Which process do we use, how complex is the nesting, is it chamfer or countersink or both,…
      The minimum laser power is 4000 W. The correct laser power depends on the process and the technology.
      Best regards
      Your TRUMPF Team

    I wonder how it's effecting the microstructure on the chamfered edge.

      Welding suitability tests were carried out with the positive result that this is given without restriction.

    Get down to a couple of micron's repeatability I'd be really impressed , still nice machine

      Doing things more precisely than necessary is bad since it'll be more costly and slower than necessary. There's really no need for this kind of precision to make screw heads go away or prepare edges for welding.
