    I have seen this before but forgot how good it is. Horror, mystery, and brilliant social commentary. Unfortunately, the real monsters are not the ones in the photos. I can easily imagine this playing out in real life the same way. That's what's truly terrifying.

      This isn't fake, it happend. This is the government giving us the truth but they are smart by hiding behind one word "film".
      What you saw are real life scenes, they are demons and this is what is waiting for us in Hell. That's why I will never forget this "film". Shockingly scary.

    Such a great movie! And such amazing attention to detail. If you look closely at the last photo it's clearly Ron Templeton, you can tell by the flanel. It's crazy to think about how after that whole night it ends up being Ron that scratches or bites Salazar's hand... since it's the same hand he reached out to hold Grace's hand when Ron was right there. Fantastic movie

    Something I love with this movie is how it's only about 2 people who see what is really going on. Everyone else is quick to fit the events into their own narrative and to ignore the horrific implications the event has.

    This cute girl, that was born at morning, wants me to take her to the candy store.
    This cute girl, that was born at night, wants me to take her on a car ride.
    That's the song Salazar sings to Grace, a nursery rhyme. Of course in Spanish rhymes. It's really heart breaking how he just singed for her as if he was trying to console her, he was very aware he couldn't do anything to save her, and he just stayed by her side. Salazar really appreciated the Putnams and probably saw them as a family:(

    Being honest, i just watched this and now i feel so terrified, but at the same time it was a master piece, its like those moments where its only one survivor, and yet they blame him, even after they have evidence of what really happened, i see photos like those and i send them to higher places, something like that, hits a town and then just disappears is to dangerous to ignore

      I see it as not only racism, but a cover up as well. If people knew cannibalistic creatures were roaming the desert in a herd, it would cause a mass panic statewide…or it was a sacrifice.

    I mean, one people killing a hole town with some dozens of people and making disappear the rest? Either kidnaping or taking the bodies away or burying them in that time? And on top of that, cause such destrucción in all the buildings?
    Hahah! sure pal sure.
    But nonetheless, the movie makes a great effort into making you feel frustrated by the situation.
    Specially seeign how the judges literary just decide to ignore or diminish proves such as the bites on his skin, or the marks of teeth over the other victims that doesn't even match with those of the only survivor, or when those people jumped from the water tower.

    Fun mockumentary and really novel idea for a horror flick, but couldn't help be bothered that the entire concept is based off of carefully combing the evidence but apparently a horde of zombies (?) ravaged a whole town and didn't leave any footprints or fingerprints.

    • @CulcoyoteCosmico
      @CulcoyoteCosmico Год назад +16

      They did, and that was the problem, the footprints and fingerprints were from people from the town, even the first "victim" was a guy that was a friend of Francisco, Still there are details missing for dramatic effects but yeah they touched upon the bite marks on Francisco belonging to the people in town

    • @345635356

      They didn't look for them, that's part of the social commentary. Once Salazar was the suspect, the police pretty much declared him the sole guilty party and stopped doing propper policework because of their implicit biases.
      Also, there are hints of possible government coverup, between border patrol agents refusing to talk about the strange incidents, the truck driver dying soon after, the police and justice system pegging it all on Salazar as fast as possible... Its unconfirmed, but fit into the social themes of the movie.

    • @Zombie_Trooper
      @Zombie_Trooper Год назад +22

      I think you missed the point. That's the issue the film is pointing out. They found weird crime scenes, tons of evidence that people attacked each other, PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE, and STILL pin it on one guy predominantly because he's an illegal immigrant in the midst of the border "crisis". It's social commentary.

Like, cold open to him in his house doing his thing and then the first guy comes in, gets dead, and then he goes outside and takes the pictuer of the people on the hill. Abrupt cut from the frame of those people, to the picture in the interrogation room and he spends the movie retelling the night picture by picture.

      I think the implication is that the ghouls are horrifically fast when they want to be, they were able to kill the 11 field workers and still beat Salazar into town despite him having a head start. Also the timeline implies they wiped out the town of nearly 60 people in around 45 minutes to an hour. If you look at some of the pictures their stances imply they're in the middle of a brisk pace or ready to break into a run

    What a disgrace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    There is no way Salazar could have possibly even taken out Ron Templeton, let alone massacre a whole damn town!!
    And Mr Templeton was an excellent Hunter, with skills that could kill his prey in one shot!! Hmmm, and supposedly allegedly Salazar took out Mr. Templeton!! That is one of the most insane, idiotic thing I've ever heard!!
    I said it once, I'll say it again ...this guy Mr. Salazar either had to be Rambo, with special ops training, or Superman!! REALLY????!!!!!!
    Mr. Salazar was a small little guy whom caught everything on camera, which mind you told the story and corroborated everything he said in the interview!! And unfortunately the system failed him!! Because they used him as a patsy, a scapegoat, a sacrifice!!
    And why didn't they give him a translator whom spoke Spanish, and made him feel comfortable if they wanted information so badly??!
    And the reason why Mr. Salazar couldn't speak, and probably had a blank look on his face, is because he was still traumatically traumatized by what he had saw in those fields slaying down the people whom knew and his friends!!
    Mr. Salazar may have been an oddball, but a killer?? There is no way this little guy Mr. Salazar could take out a whole town, including Ron Templeton!! No way in hell!!!
    And if Mr. Salazar supposedly took out Ron Templeton, then whom was shooting that picture when Ron Templeton was being attacked????!!!!!
    Shame on that law enforcement officer in the video, whom claims he's so highly decorated and doing such a great job in his community ... If anything, he failed to find the true killers, or whatever it was that killed all them folks in that whole town!!
    Whatever makes him feel better, and sleep at night!! What a loser!!
    And what a complete Injustice of our justice system .... DISGRACEFUL!!

      It's unfortunate how people irl actually think like this but you gotta admit. Law enforcement were absolute knuckle draggers to not realize Fransisco definetly couldn't have ravaged that town in an roughly 30-45 mins.

    I swear it seems like u can't get a break from the identity politics and the race crap no matter what you do! You can't even watch a horror movie anymore minus the politics... It was a really good movie but I could've really done without the race stuff. This is supposed to be entertainment.
